I think GGG vs Pacquiao would have been a better question
GGG is no match for TBE

Floyd will win no matter what, he WILL win.

GGG will be in his worst shape of his career. Floyd will make outrageous demands, rehydration no more than 160.
USADA blood testing, 16oz gloves, paid judges, officials, refs. etc.

Come fight night GGG will be 10%, can't throw power punches, can't cut the ring off, can't hurt Floyd
and will be a walking zombie.

Guaranteed GGG will not win and his zero record will end in the hands of Floyd.

Golovkin. He'd walk through everything Floyd threw and chip away at the trunk. I can see Floyd slipping away mostly unhurt during the opening rounds, and winning them in the process too but given the size difference it really wouldn't take many body shots to slow him down significantly.
Once GGG lands 3 or 4 good shots downstairs, he'll find himself cutting off the ring and cornering Floyd with much more regularity. That's when he goes upstairs for a brutal KO probably between 7 and 9.
It'll basically play out like Khanelo with the exception that GGG will have to work much harder to slow Floyd down as unlike Canelo he can't rely on Floyd making a massive error like Khan did.

I think Golovkin could handle staying at 160 for the fight. If that's it, he will starch Floyd. What he won't handle is cutting to 154. IMHO that will destroy him the same way that cutting two extra pounds destroyed Geale vs Cotto. But Sanchez (and maybe even GGG) see mountains of $$$ in Mayweather and my guess is they will pyss away his legacy for a payday at 154.

It's a 50-50 fight to me. If anyone can capitalize on mistakes itself Floyd. He'd use every advantage like speed and footwork fully and try to neutralize Ggg's power. But if Ggg fights smart and starts sticking that jab out, Floyd will get worn down. Ggg can't afford to get reckless like he did against Brook, can't do that mistake against Mayweather. Needs smart pressure, like Montreal Duran used on SRL. Focusing on the body is key to Ggg. Floyd on the other hand can beat Ggg to the punch and clinch all night.

It's the logical fold out, surely? Floyd is a natural WW, and a small and slippery one at that. He certainly has the skills to avoid getting savagely KOd early on (which by itself is worth credit) but eventually the size difference will tell. Golovkin doesn't even have to be that smart in closing Floyd down because he knows nothing coming his way will hurt him. As long as he's aggressive and has the engine to persist; the necessary body shots will land. Even if it's just one per round they'll sap Floyd enough for Golovkin to finish him.
At 160 (which I doubt Floyd would be able to get up to anyway), GGG wins this 100% of the time. If he's brought down to around 155, his ability to press Floyd into a corner with enough accuracy, discipline and energy would be under scrutiny and the slippery ******* might just find himself in a 50/50 fight.
P4P tekkers are only good for X amount of weight divisions, for Floyd it was five. The reason he never got a MW title was because he knew it was a step too far, at least against natural MWs anyway.
A rematch against Canelo at 155 would probably bear fruit if Foghorn Leghorn didn't vacate... not that GB would allow the rematch to happen.

Elchevito and Tambourine Man have good posts on this.

They're basically too far apart in weight for a fair fight, IMHO.

Floyd did some pretty amazing things through the divisions, going heavier and heavier, but let's not forget that he was growing into those weights as well. 160 is a bit of a leap for him. And Golovkin is already old in terms of a boxer. No way he boils to 154 without losing a lot.

My fear is that the fight happens at some ridiculous weight with ridiculous rehydration clause, and we get treated to the spectacle of mummified Golovkin plodding after Floyd around the ring getting tippetty tapped until GGG keels over from dehydration in the 9th.
