How would Barry have fared against all of Naseem`s opponents fantasy different era bouts? I feel Hamed was overrated.

Barry loses to Barerra. Horrible style for a front foot banger like McGuigan. The rest he cuts in half or decapitates and no way Kevin Kelly drops a peak McGuigan three times.

Hamed is the overrated one, as his fans claim him to be some kind of atg featherweight. McGuigan beats up every person Hamed beat ESPECIALLY the versions of said opponents when Hamed beat them. However, the pre-Alejandro Gonzalez Kevin Kelly has a shot. I'm convinced Kevin wasn't the same after that one. No way, though, does prime Barry beat prime Barrera. Good fight though.

By his own admission Barry probably over trained himself out of his own career. It made for a shorter career and fewer top level performances.

so Barry’s limited to much fewer performances good enough to beat so many top rate men.

The time he lost after the Cruz loss reduced things further.

what is left probably isn’t enough to produce even enough of the wins Naz did..though best for best, Naz never beat anything as good as Barry.

At the exact times has Hamed fought them, I’m convinced McGuigan would beat them all, and I think, while he loses to Barrera, he probably does better. I’d also pick McGuigan to beat Hamed. I just think he’s became very underrated. Perhaps he was overrated to get to the Hall of Fame but has become underrated. I’ve always found Hamed overrated and it appears he’s getting even more so with time.

If you think one guy is overrated, why do you have to stack the deck in McGuigan's favor?

Hamed fought for 10 years. Now we're supposed to make up a fake Barry McGuigan who has a 10-year prime? McGuigan's entire career didn't even last 10 years.

Why not How would the McGuigan who lost to Jim McDonnell do against the Marco Antonio Barrera who beat Hamed?

Why not how would the Barry McGuigan who lost to Stevie Cruz do against the Wilfdredo Vaszquez or Tom Johnson who Hamed beat?

Not, let's pretend one guy had a 10-year prime. Who wins?

McGuigan clearly chickened out of fighting Uncle Azumah Nelson because as Uncle Azumah said of McGuigan and I quote:

"He is a she because she is afraid to fight me"

" I call her Miss McGiggle"

"We can fight in his bedroom and his wife can be referee and his parents the judges he will still get knocked out"

This affects McGuigan's standing whereas Naz faced the great Barrera and took his loss .

Barry came into a tough division (Sanchez & Pedroza) His short back to back series at world level was tough.

Mcguigan on his worst day in the worst conditions (pale irishman fighting a unknown substitute mexamerican in his local desert) and backdrop( just told his dad dying) still only lost it all in the final 3 minutes.

Hamed came into a weak era (johnson, medina, robinson).

Hamed"s title reign was versus weak opposition he lost & quit the 1st time he fought a Barry world title level guy (laporte, taylor, and pedroza)....he wasnt fighting in a desert...he had years to prep and his dad wasn"t dying.....hamed was brutally exposed and humiliated.....McGuigan fought heroically....against a guy who was very good and who woulda beaten kelly and robinson.

That said Barry lost that fight as he simply didnt know any other way other than to chug forward at 100mph....if he knew how to move and fight going back he wouldve survived.
