Bruno wasn`t tough, he was badly hurt by a low level fighter like Jumbo Cummings and he was stopped by Lewis, Smith and Witherspoon, a lot of fighters went the distance with those guys compared to Tyson who destroyed Frank twice.

if Jumbo Cummings had never had a pair of gloves on, he was still the type of big, strong athlete who would be dangerous for a minute or two in a boxing match if he just rushed out swinging wildly. Cummings had had over 20 pro fights, plus amateur fights, including amateur fights at the international level, so he wasn't a novice. The people who had beaten Cummings prior to the Bruno fight had a combined record of 72-7-1, and according to most, Cummings was robbed of a win over Joe Frazier when the fight was called a draw. Being hurt by Cummings is no disgrace, he was an athletic, experienced, and dangerous boxer. A lot of famous fighters have been "hurt" by fighters who were less accomplished than Jumbo Cummings.

At the moment the top five looks like this:

    1. Lewis
    2. Fitzsimmons
    3. Fury
    4. Joshua
    5. Farr

Obviously the active guys can still go up.

Do you think Cummings could have landed a hurtful punch on a prime Frazier? Frazier would have destroyed Bruno.

Yeah but Bruno was just a kid against Cummings and did better against McCall than Lewis did Do you think that the Frazier that drew with Cummings would have beaten prime Lewis? Lewis would have destroyed Frazier.

Lewis was awful v McCall and Steward improved him vastly after that fight, Steward actually trained McCall to beat Lewis also. Bruno should have tried to hire Stewward he was a much better trainer than anyone that trained Frank.

I have a feeling that Dylian Whyte is shortly going to be in these discussions!

I know the story is Bruno was on the way to a sensational win until Lewis landed his bomb. But I was there, at the terrible Arms Park, among a load of Bomber fans, at no time did any of them think Bruno was on his way to victory, the sense was he was (as usual) going to run out of puff.

Bruno disappointed us so many times that we developed an immunity to it!

Nobody counted their chickens in the McCall fight, until the final bell rang!

    Lol. What are you smoking,son?

Lewis is in everyones top10 greatest ever heavyweights, some even have him in their top 2 or 3 and h2h quite a lot of fans even have him as no.1 yet you think that Dubois can be even greater? In other words you think he could be the greatest of all time? And this is all based on him beating british journeyman gormless Dave Gorman in his last fight?

    Jesus h christ!

    You misunderstand me.

Dubois is early enough in his career, that we can't really say where he will end up.

He might be another Lennox Lewis, or he might be another David Price.

Obviously if he does turn out to be as good as he looks, then time is on his side.

My hunch is that he will turn out to be something special!

Ok. I just thought you were one of those brits that have been going way overboard since he knocked out Gorman. Like they looking already for a new Joshua.
