who would win mike mccalum vs winky wright?

I see this as very close ,Winky, with his arms up tight would nullify some of the "Body Snatchers " hooks but enough would get through to take a close dec imo,McCallum could box very well, and his offence was better than Winkys.

 

Winky is great at what he does but Mike just had more to his game.

 

As good as Winky is, I'd go with Mike.

 

Mike would win a unanimous decision, but Winky puts up a good fight and makes it closer than expected.

 

Mike would win a close one, helped by a late round knockdown.Winky would probably win about 6, 7 rounds.

 

McCallum decision.

 

I'd take McCallum by UD.

 

Mike, too many angles. Winky too upright. Not all body shots would get through, but there was more to McCallum than just body punching. Winky's jab wins him some rounds but it's a clear ud.

 

I don't see how people think this would be close. Mike would destroy Winky. He did really well against shell-like defenses too. Check out his fight with Michael Watson.

 

I'm not really sure what significant advantage Wright would hold that could tip it in his favour.

 

Mike would use him as a punch bag, especially his body. Bad style match-up for Winky.

 

McCallum was too skilled and too good of an all-around fighter for Winky to beat. Winky was a very good fighter with more limitations and less options than McCallum, who I consider a great.
