This is hard to call for me.. The fact Williams doesn't always use his reach to the full makes me feel as though Floyd is capable of getting in and doing some good work in the pocket.

Close one though but Floyd is so versatile I think he could figure it out to eek a close UD

Bad Weight to fight paul. Even if they at 147 paul will be bigger and hes very active.
Floyd wouldnt take this matchup. Paul failed to impress on the Biggest Stage in his Career as winky had a huge fan base there. Floyd Could Loose this Fight. He would Make Paul Come down further to slow his activity

Floyd and only because PW is all to willing to give up his heaight and reach advantage and fight close and Floyd is great at in-fighting and he would wrap PW up which Floyd also does very well to keep PW from gaining any momentum.....thats how i see this fight but who knows....this could be a great fight or it could be onesided if PW gives his height and reach up....on the inside he wont be effective because he is too long and too tall he needs distance and Floyd is smart enough to know he needs to stay on the inside of PW.

He usually stands with a tight philly shell with his shoulder in front and when PW throws he would duck and come up in PW's chest and he would then begin the in-fighting and holding of course.

If you need a reference to the move just look at the Hatton fight he would stand there in the philly and duck as Hatton threw a punch and come up in Hatton's chest and then go to work.

I can not just see a guy that's had so many mediocre showings (Floyd) against mediocre fighters (Judah) to win against a top welter, be it PW, COTTO, MOSLEY, etc.

what would you have wanted him to do for it not to be mediocre because he didnt come close to losing in any of them.

I do agree the comp was sub-par so maybe thats what your getting at.

the size difference could be a factor
but like was said earlier, paul doesnt always fight tall
I would like to see this fight
floyd, if he still retains the speed of the floyd at 130-135, could win rounds with his defense, being that paul throws so many punches, floyd could make him miss alot and out box him possibly
all in all though I think PW would win this
I think if this fight came off, he would concentrate on using his natural advantages

Out of respect for Floyd's ring intelligence, I'm going with him in this fight. But man is it hard to envision him at 5'7 having any kind of "easy" time getting inside on Williams. He'd have to win by timing Williams consistently enough on the outside to win seven rounds.

Winky at about 70% of prime was finding openings (early) so I've got to think Floyd could get there also.
