The fight itself has a result so painfully obvious that I'd rather focus on how the pre-fight trash talk between the two would go. Who would win the mind games?
I don’t know about anyone winning any mind games but, per the optics, Fury has got this for trash talk IMO. On his good days, Fury could be quite witty instead of just being straight up abusive. Galento’s behaviours and appearance would also provide as a greater source for smack comments I would think.
Fury is a lot funnier than galento who often repeated himself with the tired old bum gimmick. He also smarter than galento and will **** him off
Calling Joe Louis every night for like a year just to call him a bum surpasses it imo, peak ragebaiter. Say what you want about galento but he would probably bring the best version of his opponent into fight night just so they could beat his ass
Probably Fury. He has a knack for being genuinely amusing AND caustic at the same time. Like when he took his shirt off at a Klitscko presser to show how fat and out of shape he was and made the point that "you lost to a fattie"
Yeah I could see Galento reacting like a deer frozen in the headlights under Fury’s verbal bombardment. “Big fat sausage” would be among the many labels I’d expect to be blurted out by Tyson during one of his manic tirades. Imagine the face off in the ring - a 10” or so height pull - even exceeding the curious vision of 5’7”Duran straining his neck having to look up at 6’1” Tommy Hearns.
Two Ton literally knew how to “stink up” a joint. It should be written into the rules that a fighter has to be adequately “fragranced”. Smelling foul should automatically be deemed to be a literal foul. An immediate point deduction should be applied for same, with the simultaneous instruction from the ref to clean yourself up in your corner asap or a DQ will then follow accordingly.
