Your right Pea was a good bodypuncher. He would score knockdowns to the body quite often. Pinada, Diaz etc.

Alot of people dont give him credit for that.
Watch him and he throws that left hard to the body almost in an uppercut manner.
And it bothered stronger boxers enough to keep them from rushing in.
And he was pretty sharp at counter punching.
Dropped quite a few with that left.
When he fought Tito he was way past it and Tito was in his prime. Yet Tito couldnt finish him off.

His record is insane .He fought and beat Pineda.
Buddy. Vasquez. And those were well above his best weight.
Honestly I think Mayweather's list of opponents isnt even CLOSE to Peas.
While Mayweather certainly had the skills to compete with Pea I dont think he could have beaten Pea as there was no style that even was close to Being like Pea.

Yeah you would think so. I just sometimes wonder about the fighters that beat Hank, then think, well if they won then surely Floyd could as well.

Obviously boxing does not work like that of course.

Floyd had more power than Whitaker, Hearns even said if he fought Floyd in his prime, he would use his jab to keep him on the outside because he is dangerous in the pocket.

I feel Floyd would have beat those guys easly and he was better at 154 v Canelo than Whitaker was v Vasquez.

Tommy had faster hands than anyone Whitaker faced.

I agree. In my opinion Duran is the best lightweight of all time (arguably). And a lock for top 10 p4p fighters of all time. The way he dismantled and effectively ended the career of the younger, naturally bigger Moore when he was completely written off as being old, past it and finished was phenomenal. I believe he beats anyone h2h at the weight (LW).

Watch Hearns/Benitez. That will give you an idea of the chance Mayweather has. Just a terrible matchup. Yes Hearns would control from range. Floyd would have to take some risks that he wasnt used to taking. FM didmt have much pop at 47.

I'm not too sure about that. They were both stronger than people gave them credit for. Not punchers though. They relied on acculmulation.

Whitaker never knocked out a good pressure fighter like Hatton.

Pea scored a one punch knockout of Juan Nazario to unify the title. Mayweather ever do that?
He KOd Hurtado with a huge overhand left. He was losing on then cards and pulled the fight out.

I feel Hatton was better than those two and he was a strong come forward fighter.
