For me, it's a toss up between Danny DeVito and Joe Pesci.

I think Pesci would do a good job on film screaming at Ali like Angelo Dundee did after the 11th round of the FOTC. He would have no problems barking out the orders too.

David Paymer; the actor who played Joe Louis's manager in the most recent TV bio pic of the Brown Bomber.

I don't know but Obama needs to play Elijah Muhammad and Farrakhan can play himself.

Ron Silver did a hell of a job. RIP. De Vito and Pesci are great shouts. Bare with me here,
hair dye, and a bald cap, Phillip Seymour Hoffman. This guy is so damn versatile.

i don“t know but the face of will smith was so ugly next to cassius clay, clay was a pretty guy, the body of smith is fine, but his face is horrible compared with ali.

Might be worthwhile to mention here that Ernest Borgnine actually portrayed Angelo in the 1976 biopic where Ali played himself. [This automatically made Will Smith or anybody else playing Muhammad guaranteed to completely suck forever and ever after. Bundini also played himself, as did brother Rahman].

For the most , part, I remember Borgnine just quietly looking bewildered but that was a common expression for him in many dramatic roles. Didn't quite buy him as Angie, but like James Earl Jones as Malcom X, Borgnine was kind of overshadowed by the rather convincing performance of the male lead in that flick.

I would choose the italian guy who was the partner in that tv show "due south" about a canadian mounty solving crime in chicago. The guy was called david marciano of all things, and recently appeared in homeland. He always plays a stereotypical italian American because he is one. ...and so was angie dundee.

Pesci is good at playing bad guys.

Angelo Dundee was a nice guy and looked very different from Pesci.
