This is mad, but Joe Louis. To me, he is very clearly the number two heavy of all time, but people get confused (IMO) and put him at number one, which is crazy.

Isit really true tho ? I don't think he's that overrated. Marciano is seen as an underdog against every single prime top 10 heavyweight. Most think he wouldn't be competitive today and would have to fight at light heavyweight to make his mark, meanwhile Joe Louis is favored over many top heavyweights today and even the future atgs. If anything Joe Louis is more overrated than Marciano in todays economy

As an Italian American I always loved Marciano and proud of what he accomplished. But the way people rate him as an all-time great even compared to today’s super heavyweights is really ridiculous.
He was one tough SOB but for Pete’s sake there’s only so much a man can do. He was 5 10 185 lbs. He was a walk in try to over power you slugger. He was wasn’t going to dance around and out box anyone. When 5 10 185 meets head on a top trained and conditioned 6 4 240 at his peak he goes down.

Ali. When it gets to the point where it is considered blasphemous to say that someone is not the best, he is overrated.

But he is the best(so far), so any other opinion is just wrong if you base it on who he beat.
If you base it off accomplishments like title reigns or undefeated records then sure.

But as dumb as it sounds (And it does sound dumb) it should be almost blasphemous to say that he isn't the best, more so because basing it on who he beat ,him being the best is an objective fact.

And young George being overrated is weird to say imo

Its probably got to be John L Sullivan.

    John L Sullivan
    Willard
    Jersey Joe Walcott
    Rocky Marciano
    Holyfield
    Usyk

    Overrated non champs
    Jerry Quarry
    Weaver
    Ray Mercer
    David Tua

Almost put Tyson but feels that something else thats cultural. When people think boxer they think Mike Tyson.

Only like half the people feel this way. The other half see him as a peer of Louis or Ali.
