To be fair, my own dislike for Canelo started with the Khan BS fight. I rooted for him against Mayweather.

A non title bout 1lb over the limit has never been considered a catch weight in boxing history until fanboys needed an excuse with Canelo.

Well outside of Khan no-one Alvarez has fought has been significantly outsized like you say, all that is propaganda spread by GGG fanboys. You say Canelo failed to mention top fighters yet had a better 2016 than any fighter at 54 or 160.

Mikey Garcia is as mexican as De la Hoya, he should be discussed in a "whos's the best us born fighter right now" thread, not in this one.

valdez and garcia, depending on how mexican you want them. i think these 2 have the most upside. top notch pedigrees, dominating competition, intelligent and completely fluent in english. if i was buying stock, i would put my money on these 2.

Canelo has a huge fan base
They just don't post on the internet
Many Canelo fans only watch Canelo and the other big fights.

It's not the boxing hipster pick, but probably Canelo.

Anyone who thinks this way is more a fan pf particular groups, or fighters. Nothing more. Certainly not die hard boxing fans.

Most die hard fans are this way too.

I'm not even saying it's illogical. Certain people like certain fighting styles, postures, and in-ring attitudes. It makes sense.
