Who would you favor in a middleweight clash between Danny Jacobs and Canelo?

Jacobs seems to be the kind of guy who can only step it up when he needs to....and it's no surprise really, I imagine after beating cancer it's pretty difficult to maintain the same mental strenght when fighting inferior level fighters.

There's no doubt that Jacobs gave GGG more problems.

GGG had no respect for Canelo the whole fight, and was the comfortable winner.....
Jacobs was much closer.

 

Golovkin knocked Jacobs down, out boxed him, out jabbed him, and later in the first at the end of the round he staggered Jacobs with a left jab! Jacobs ran like hell, Golovkin is interested in fighting the winner of Jacobs/Charlo, hell Charlo beat a cripple, then Pee Wee Herman. Jacobs was almost beaten by a jr. middleweight and Jacobs is a cruiserweight. Perhaps Jacobs should fight the winner of Usyk/Gassiev since he is more comfortable at cruiserweight?

 

Jacobs hits harder and he's bigger than Canelo but the latter has better skills than the former. Should be an interesting match up.

 

Canelo UD going by skill sets alone, if Canelo lands any of the bombs Genady took, KO is not out of the question too.

I would expect to see highly motivated and really overweight version of Jacobs tho, the one that Golovkin fought so miracle man does stand a good chance there.

Danny's got a punchers chance but no way can he win 8 clear for the draw.

One of those matchups I want to see as it's fairly even. Jacobs cannot settle for a decision, has to go get it.

 

I lean toward Jacobs if they meet in December 2018 with clean drug tests.

But I think Canelo would wait until Jacobs ages a bit to fight him, so if they fight in 3 years, I'd pick Canelo

 

Jacobs wins a 9-3/8-4 decision, but is officially recorded as a TKO loss.

 

Jacobs wins, Canelo gets the nod from the judges.

 

If Jacobs can fight at the level he had when he fought GGG, I'd say he may well KO Canelo. If he fights at the level of his last fight, Canelo probably outpoints him.

 

Pretty clear Clenelo. Prob by stoppage.
