Who would you favor to be Hearns at 147-154 over the last 15 years?

Jones was never hit that clean until he moved back down. How would we know he had a good chin? Devalle knocked him down before that didn't he?

Yeah but he wasn't as glass-jawed as he is now. He took a few clean shots. I just think people over state JOnes and Hearns chin "problems"
    Especially Hearns.

I'd favour none of them, trinidad has the best chance to beat him out of that list though

I think Hearns took many more punches than Jones in his prime and stood up.. With Hearns I do think he had a better chin than people say, but since his chin did fail him against Hagler and Leonard, that is what people see as his biggest weakness. Jones really was not tested in the chin ,but Jones did not fight the quality Hearns did which would have tested his chin. That might be why he avoided the tough competition. He might have known something.

I never said he had a glass jaw. I just said he was vulnerable, he didn't have a JCC granite chin and if Tito lands that left hook flush it could be all over right there.

At 147-154 Hearns was stopped once, in the 14th, against Sugar Ray Leonard. By TKO, not a crumpled on the floor KO.

He got TKO'd (only twice) at 160, by guys that could seriously hit. One in a crazy brawl, one in a fight that he was winning and got caught.

Hardly vulnerable. You make it sound like he was constantly on his arse.

wtf is wrong with you people? You act like I tried to **** his mom or something. Hearns could be hurt. Tito is one of the best punchers ever at 147. If Tito landed a clean bomb on Hearns or just about any other welterweight in history that could damn well be the end of the fight right there.

Hearns is an ATG, but he's a step below SRL, RJJ, JCC and those guys. Keep it up and I'll say some crazy **** like Tito would turn Tommy into a boxer the first time he tastes Tito's left hook, and Tito WILL track him down before the end of the 12th round. Mosley has a DAMN good chance to outbox him and SRR would flat light him on fire.

It's funny, the sacred cows around here are Hearns, Pryor and Duran. Even HINT that they could lose a fight and people's heads explode lolz

Duran, Hearns, Pryor and Hagler are the most overrated boxers on the planet. Hagler is mostly famous for getting his ass kicked by a WW and being in a tough fight with two other smaller guys. RJJ and B-Hops would take him out like it was another day at the office. Duran is most famous for beating SRL one time in a very close fight when SRL fought Duran's fight deliberately. When SRL fought his own fight he humiliated Duran and made him quit, and Duran got KTFO like he was nothing by Hearns. Duran gets KTFO brutally by either JCC or Pacquiao. Hearns wasn't even the best WW of his day and got whooped by some pretty ordinary fighters once he moved up in weight. Taken all together, this trio of overhype forms a perfect storm of impenetrable bull**** that makes them all look much better than they actually were.

    Now FLAME ON bitches!

There's 7 votes for Floyd but no posts in 5 pages expaining why Floyd would beat Hearns!

Floyd won't fight the 6.1ft Williams because of too much risk.

He would never fight the 6.1ft Hearns :rofl
