Ray Robinson at welterweight knocked out TWICE ,George Sugar Costner in one round. Costner was a tall lean murderous puncher ,who gave himself the nickname "Sugar", arousing the ire of the original Sugar...

Robinsons peak performance according to the old-timers in Philly, where the fight was held. Probly went somethin like Jones-Griffin 2.

I think burley is a good shout the more I consider it.

Charley sure as hell isn't getting knocked out by tommy and maybe he has the combination of size and athleticism to keep out of range whilst hitting tommy.

Purely on his boxing, and uncanny record ,Jack Britton was truly a ring marvel. He had what it took to decision Tommy Hearns. The great Britton had 344 bouts in his
TWENTY SIX year career ,NEVER being STOPPED except as a prelim in his FIRST year. Why when he was THIRTY SEVEN years of age, he went FIFTEEN rounds with the peak great Mickey Walker ! If any WW could outbox and DECISION the great {one of my very favorites] Tommy Hearns, it would be Jack Britton....

Costner had his Robinson, Hearns had his Leonard ,but I would have to say Tommy Hearns, based on his one punch ko ability. But the caveat is that Costner fought in a tougher era than Hearns, excluding Leonard and Hagler...
