you crazy, He dont have much mma experience but he is an elite k-1 fighter. Everyone knows that Mark hunt excels in stand up. so if you put him in the octagon with another stand up fighter he has a big chance of winning. When i talk about stand up fighter im talking about JDS. JDS odds of winning goes up if he takes Mark down and tries to submit him. Otherwise if JDS tries to strike with him its possible JDS could get knocked out. And We all know mark hunt can do it

 

Kongo was rated in the top 10 IIRC.

 

Look at Frank Mirs run at HW, nearly kodded by Nog, a laboured win over Nelson, and one of the worst ''fights'' in recent memory with Mirko, hardly elite competition either is it.

Now a fight with Hunt wont break the box office so he's unlikely to get a shot at this time, but it's a much more intriguing fight than watching Mir get beat up again imo

It might be interesting if both Mir or Werdum could actually take JDS down. But as you say at least Hunt wont fold after on jab, has genuine kod power and should be good stamina wise for 2 rounds and is more technically accomplished on the feet than anyone left in the HW division

My genius idea would be to shitcan the Strikeforce tournament finals, and bring Barnett over to fight JDS. That would be an insane fight, and nobody even gives a flying **** about the Strikeforce tournament anyway.

 

Mark Hunt is a joke........ The elite MMA guys will have no trouble taking his fat ass down and submitting him.

OK he can bang, but who in there right mind is going to stand and give Hunt all the advantages he needs.
