How good are Dos Santos' take down skills? I don't recall seeing him take anyone down. I haven't followed his entire career, so I'm not saying he hasn't. Also, just because he hasn't doesn't mean he can't. Still, I won't be surprised if he elected to stand with Hunt.

Hunt has a chance against anyone that stands and bangs with him.

He took down Carwin a couple of times, after Carwin was gassed and scared.

    Maaaaarrrrkkkkkuuuuu Huuuuuunnnnntttuuuuu!!

Sadly, I think it will be Mir. Cigano will put him to sleep faster than he did Cain. The one good thing is that we will probably see Cain v Werdum on the card, which I think could be an excellent fight.

We were anticipating an interesting striking matchup. Mark Hunt is the next best striker around, at this point in his career he has all that knowledge and craftiness along with the power. If it doesn't happen, honestly I think it would show folks are afraid of having him as champ.

Damned interesting matchup it would be. Mir deserves the world for his wins, but maybe this is a blessing in disguise for him. Think, perhaps Hunt beats JDS, and then Mir matches up against Hunt? I like Mir's chances vs. Hunt better than vs. JDS.

granted rothwell was a zombie after a round and a half and hunt's cardio was bad towards the end, but it was an entertaining fight and hunt definitely hit him with enough to most to sleep (and to turn rothwell into a bloody mess zombie after 2 rounds) so i don't think it's a bad performance by hunt

title shot should probably go to mir or werdum, wouldn't mind hunt, and i guess hendo is ok

All-round, the best choice in my opinion would be:

    Dos Santos vs Mir
    Velasquez vs Bigfoot
    Nelson vs Hunt

But as Dana seems set on keeping Mir vs Velasquez on for some reason, I really don't know what they should do. In all fairness, Hunt simply doesn't deserve a title shot, he hasn't beaten one top 5 hw, and 2 fights ago was going to points with a mediocrity like Rothwell. And not long before that, he was getting submitted within 1 minute by D-class Sean McCorkle! I just can't see that fight being justified at all, it'd be bizarre.

Werdum is probably the most deserving candidate of the available guys, but I can't see that fight generating that much enthusiasm.

PS: Even though I do rate Werdum highly, and believe that he will come into title contention soon anyway.

How can anyone not like the prospect of Cigano vs Mir? Mir is the most deserving candidate in the UFC HW division right now, and he just broke the arm of Cigano's mentor. That's a fight that actually has meaning.

Mir vs Velasquez is a decent fight, but it kind of ruins the imminent title prospects of one of these guys, who are both top 5 and should both get a shot soon. The UFC hw division is not deep enough to have guys like Mir & Velasquez killing each other off, keep the best guys for the title fights.

Maybe I'm biased because I've always really, really liked the sound of Cain vs Bigfoot. I think that'd be a fascinating fight. IMO, Cain doesn't have the boxing that Cormier does so I don't think he'd be able to just KO Silva. And the thought of a ground fight between Cain's power grappling and Bigfoot's size and BJJ is just thrilling!

Fedor or Barnett are better options than Mir. Mir has no chance what so ever
