Who would you like Haye to fight next, during Vitali-Gomez?

Wlad has to fight his mandatory, Povetkin, after Rahman, and Vitali has shown interest, so probably Haye will fight Vitali somewhere mid 2009.

Who should Haye fight in the meanwhile?

Many options, i included Wlad if you want to see that fight anyhow.

If i was his management, i'd make him fight someone like Maskaev or Ruiz, but as a fan i'd like to see him fight Peter.

I would have to agree, he should fight Maskaev or even Dimitrenko. Haye vs Peter would entertaining.

I would like to see him fight Thompson, ideally. But if they want to keep Haye busy, bring Peter.

Damn, I'm really intrigued by a Haye-Povetkin matchup with the whole amateur thing. But it won't happen.

I think that would be a really great fight with Povetkin always coming forward which Haye does not like, and Haye's power.

Before he gets a shot I hope he can be very busy. Fight Maskaev, Thompson, Peter or Toney and then Dimitrenko and Povetkin in sort of an eliminator between Dimitenko, Povetkin and Haye.

    Exactly! :good

I was between Dimitrenko and Maskaev, voted for Dimitrenko. Now THAT would be a convincing win and a great step towards the Klitschkos.

Peter I think would be too dangerous for Haye...:think

First up - good list of choices.

Someone mentioned Dimitrenko recently and I've really warmed to that. He's got a #3 ranking with the WBC and IBF, and fits the dimensions of the Klitschkos if not the talent. I think he would be an excellent opponent for Haye to take on in preperation for those two. Dimitrenko is young and strong, and hits pretty well, but he's not the most elusive of targets and that would make it an interesting test for Haye.

Ruiz would make it a stinker, as always. Toney would probably make Haye look bad even in victory, Thompson I don't know. Valuev for the WBA, well hey, if that's available you grab it of course. Brewster seems little reward and potentially big risk, while Maskaev is little in both catagories.

Yeah, I'd say Dimitrenko. Works on more than one level.

Second choice would probably be...hmm...well, if you can get a WBA title shot against Valuev then of course you grab that with both hands. Can't pass up a title shot. And again, huge durable opponent, good experience.

Dimitrenko. They both just won their recent fights in emphatic fashion against older former contenders on the same day and most people place them about the same in the heavyweight rankings.

    Winner of Toney/Thompson or Povetkin.
