Who would you like to see Dereck Chisora fight on Sept 21?

Wilder says he wants the fight. If he runs through Liakhovic in a couple of rounds, he'll be fresh enough to fight Chisora, surely?

He's not improving nor fun to watch.

Attention he gets is away from some other, more deserving English fighter.

    Could well be Charr

Isn't Wilder unable to leave America, I don't think that has changed? I'm not sure Chisora would go over there to fight Wilder when he has other options.

But Chisora has fought FIVE top 20 HWs.

Many other HWs with far more fights have never fought a single decent opponent.

I think that's partly why he receives the attention.

Sept 21 is a month and a half away so I wouldn't expect anyone great to be fighting Chisora on that date. If it ended up being someone like Abdulsalamov that would probably be about as good as it gets. No way it ends up being Wilder, Boystov, or even Charr.

I wouldn't be shocked if he ends up getting one of the usual supsects like Sprott or Harrison.

    1) Don't you mean British?

    2) ...at HW? Whom exactly is Chisora passing over with his exposure and the opportunities his fan-friendly performances have netted? Let's review the domestic scene:

Price...obviously isn't more deserving than Chisora on recent form...unless you rate consecutive stoppage losses ahead of beating Scott. :huh

The forty-somethings old guard of Sprott, Harrison, Rogan, Skelton & Williams...nothing more need be said.

Baby Hughie, greener than a pubescent leprechaun's smegma?

Cornish, direct off his crowning achievement to date of becoming the eighth man to stop losing-record Paul Butlin and nineteenth to beat him?

Joshua who has yet to ever log a professional minute?

Flintoff who logged twelve but seems to have gone on holiday for 2013?

White despite having an even thinner resume than Cornish, his best results being shutouts of the guys whose express job function is to lose shutouts to rising prospects (Rasani, Remy Z)

    ***ton aka Dereck Chisora Jr.?

    Dallas? Lewison? McDermott? Surely not.

That's it. We've exhausted the list. Whom exactly did you mean?

    The decrepit old James Toney?

    Toney who lost to Browne?

    Outboxed every minute by Lebedev?

    Wobbled by Gunn and Greer?

    Did you mean Alonzo Toney?

...because that is actually more plausible.

Kevin Johnson said in an interview yesterday that he's in negotiations for this fight.

I'll be disappointed if it's Johnson.

I was hoping for Abdusalamov, Takam, Pianeta, Perez, Boytsov, Browne, Wach, Solis, or Wilder.

Johnson is the one man who could make Chisora boring.

    ...OK, maybe Ahunanya.

I'm figuring they'll go for a "name" that's somewhat of a soft touch while waiting on the bigger names. Charr wouldn't surprise me, Kevin Johnson may be a bit risky for Chisora's liking.

:blood Maybe the Kingpin of 2007-2011.

    From Prizefighter on? :pukke

Out-worked, out-skilled and (most shamefully of all) out-willed by Tor Hamer?

Out-fought and out-boxed by Tyson Fury?

Run close by the freaking bedraggled Polish Dragon?

He is risky for the Haumonos and Leapais of the world, but Chisora is a fair distance beyond that level. Don't confuse Dereck with those Pacific Island boys just because he shares their morphology. :yep

Would love to see Mike Perez step up and face Derek Chisora in the UK

    points win for Perez.

Will never happen though as its a no win fight for Chisora
