Ohhhhhhh nice shout. That never occurred to me. (although, in fairness, The Rebel is so far off the radar these days, I'm probably not alone...)

Sucks yet he took Vitali 12 rounds, was robbed against Helenius, took a **** load of flush punches off Haye before succumbing to a monstrous 5 punch combo and was just awarded the victory over Scott who was 1. undefeated and 2. in which he was the underdog.

He's far and away from a world beater, but when in shape Chisora is a game ******* and will put it on anyone.

 As perfect a response as can be given to drivel like "Chisora sucks".

I like Charr as his next fight, but if the Londoner turns up thinking he can lean/push his way to victory he will be taken to the cleaners by the Syrian. I like Chisora, he just doesn't let his hands go enough. Scott was always over-rated and couldn't deal with his pressure, but if you try that aggresive approach without effective output against a decent foe a la Boytsov, Charr, Pulev then he loses badly and its back to the Brit scene.

****** knows he is due to cash out with him too as all that paper talk about a Klitschko fight has absurdly resurfaced. (Ibiza etc)

    British boxers as a whole.
Sports pages fill the boxing section with his media stunts and it's not a good thing.
    ...
    No, it's not.

He's a character. :yep We could use more like him.

In hindsight, was Tony Galento bad for the sport? Ricardo Mayorga?

So he behaves poorly and exudes a ruffian aura bringing some hooliganism to boxing.

Hey, it's exposure the sport can use. Any port in a storm. :good

...and that is merely to address the question of whether the attention he draws to boxing the sports columns is good attention (with the argument being, no attention is bad attention these days)

If we're talking about British heavies who on their accomplishments deserve opportunities abroad or with importing big name international talents (saying "deserve" while looking only at the context of feats between the ropes, with horse blinders redacting all questions of being a role model or other issues of ethical comportment outside the ropes) - really you've got Tyson Fury and Dereck Chisora and that's it. The rest of the field are far behind them for various reasons, as enumerated in my earlier post.

    Vyacheslav Glazkov wants the fight.

There's a bit of risk involved in fighting Chisora in the UK, given what the referee did to Malik Scott when he was ahead on points.
