Dmitry Bivol's management is seeking an opponent for him. There may be another HBO-televised light heavyweight doubleheader with Kovalev-Alvarez and Bivol-TBA.

    WBA rankings are here:

    1 BADOU JACK SWE
    2 ELEIDER ALVAREZ COL
    3 KARO MURAT ARM
    4 MARCUS BROWNE USA
    5 SULLIVAN BARRERA CUB
    6 SHEFAT ISUFI SRB
    7 JOE SMITH JR USA
    8 FELIX VALERA LAC DOM
    9 JUERGEN BRAEHMER GER
    10 JEAN PASCAL CAN
    11 JOE FOURNIER INT GBR
    12 MIKE LEE USA
    13 ISAAC CHILEMBA MAW
    14 JAKE BALL CON GBR
    15 CHARLES FOSTER

He's already beaten Valera and Barrera, and some of the others like Foster, Jack and Alvarez have fights scheduled.

Some of these boxers ranked by the WBA are not really even top 50 light heavyweights.

Because the options are rather limited, I suppose it would be okay if he faces a fighter who is perhaps no longer really a top 10 light heavyweight but is well-known to boxing fans, such as Braehmer, Pascal, Smith or Chilemba.

Who in the actual **** are Joe Fournier, Shefat Isufi and Charles Foster?

Put him in with Browne, I'd like to see someone batter him, don't really care who.

Why do these guys fight so infrequently nowadays?
I remember back in 08 Pacquiao fought in 3 different weight classes, against 3 top opponents, at his height and never gave a dull fight in either.

    Bivol needs activity.

You're right, in fact inactivity is not good for a fighter.

His manager says they are having a difficult time finding a willing opponent (even though it will be shown on HBO).

I too would enjoy seeing Bivol beat Browne. But Browne may not be able to fight for some time, because of charges against him for beating up and harassing his former girlfriend.

Maybe Karo Murat can become Bivol's next victim.

Browne. Anybody below him on that list just isnt worth it and i think everybody above is either tied up in a fight or very close to it. Actually Murat should be free. But still Browne is best.

Browne would be a good fight, not sure that one is a real possibility.

Smith would be fun while it lasts but I don’t think Smith has much of a chance there.

Chilemba would be my pick from that list. He’s a good veteran fighter who only loses to top fighters and would give Bivol some good rounds.

I wouldn’t mind Mikhalkin either. He’s a borderline top 10 guy and did ok against Kovalev.

So of all that fights that seem possible I’d go Chilemba, Mikhalkin, and Smith.

These fighters are bitches when they get to the top. In fact if he fought a regular top 20 guy then the fans would berate him for not fighting a top guy. It's a Catch-22 with Bivol.
