I gather he'd have to lure someone over if it isn't Joshua next. So a Tarver or Oquendo would be a couple of names. Can't see him getting Shannon Briggs over - not sure who's paying who to keep Briggs ranked No 4 WBA???? Something tells me someone told him to stop acting like a clown and he'll get him winner Browne/Chagaev

Martin is the way to go. Maybe Haye can come up with enough money to entice Martin's team.

Other than that Bellew is probably the best option moneywise and as build up for a Joshua bout.

Pulev and Parker are also very nice options.

Wilder, Joshua, Fury, Klitschko, Chagaev, Povetkin are tied up for the first semester, so forget about it for now.

Briggs is ALL about a payday and a fight with David Haye is likely as good as he's gonna get.

    Doubt Fury would bite.
Wilder's title is gone before summer, and what kindof payday does Chagaev or Browne bring???Maybe $250K

A fight with Haye would pay him just as much tbph, and I honestly think it could be a fairly big promotion.:think

Completely agree that Briggs makes sense financially for both and gets Haye a ranking, for all its worth - but the Briggs no.4 WBA ranking is odd, and makes one wonder whether there is a plan to go after the Browne/Chag winner then defend it a couple of times stateside and set up the pension...or go out on a BIG Haye bout and forget the ranking....definitely things shaping slightly up HW wise

Well......I honestly don't think Briggs would beat either Browne or Chagaev, so if that's the plan, it's not a wise one.

However, I do agree with your assessment that things a shaping up nicely.

A little drama is what we need for HW boxing and even though it was unfair of the IBF to strip Fury, even though Vitali, at 44 could walk into the ring after 6 wks of training and regain his HW title, and that Wlad will likely end his career after beating Fury and Martin, the boring @ss Fury/Wlad fight has made HW boxing a much more fertile landscape.

Jennings or Ortiz, preferably Ortiz as what I'm looking to see is Haye get put to sleep in brutal fashion.

    And soon, please.

Yeah I agree Chag and even Browne probably beat Briggs at this stage. I just thought Briggs' people keeping him relevant in that ABC to go after an easy belt, or make the Klitschko bout, if it were to transpire, a little more credible looking. I'm sure Hayemaker have considered Briggs and it's something Briggs should seriously think about, or even chase ie: a call out to start with; retire to the fact its a last pay day and get out 'relatively' healthy - though even against this Haye I doubt that's salubrious for Briggs! As for Haye, he'd have to consider whether fighting Briggs gives impetus to his comeback, or if people will consider it a freakshow. Is Briggs even training anymore?? Havn't heard a squeak out of him; which is odd considering his nemesis just lost...

I agree, Martin would be an easy win for Haye while also winning a title

I think the Martin handlers will probably avoid Haye though

Or Haye could make an example out of Joshua while he waits for Fury to get beaten by Wlad

Wlad Haye II is coming, folks

Why not? Dillian needs credibility, then there's the whole common opponent draw in terms of a Joshua bout.
