I'm being a bit premature thinking he'll beat Mcdermott but provided he does, who do you think he should fight out of these potential opponents? Brian Magee- Two experienced British fighters both ranked highly in world organisations. Would be a very good pick em fight to see who truly deserves a world title fight but looks unlikely due to disagreements in negotiations. Robert Stieglitz- WBO Super middleweight champ with Smith high up in there rankings. Stieglitz is a strong chinned, very good combination puncher who could cause Smith a lot of problems. However, he presents Smith with his best and quickest route to a world title. George Groves- The Commonwealth champion who looks set to go all the way to a world title. Won his title vs the limited Adamu but looked very impressive. He is still inexperienced but would provide more risk with less reward than other options for Smith. Dmitri Sartison- Recently beat Khoren Gevor in a good performance. Is a good counter puncher but was troubled by Gevor's jab which is the best asset of Smith. Is someone that Paul could pressure well and win a decision agaisnt. Depending on which country the fight takes place in of course. Jermaine Taylor- Ok maybe not but he needs a comeback fight and would be some name on his record I'd personally go for sartison. Smith has impressed with his heart in the last 2 fights but not necessarily with his boxing. It would be a very good barometer for his level and give the winner a lot of justification for a title fight. What do you guys reckon?:think
seilglitz, his best time to win a world title and should go for it, imo smith is alot better than his last 2 fights suggest
His team needs to move this as quickly as they can. The timing of his opponent is crucial, I really hope that Smith can get his shot...:yep
