Im not kidding.....he is 36!!! Thats pretty old for a lightweight,he only just got past a shot (IMO) Corralles (spelling) He can be beaten, yeah he is slick but he likes to trade also. Same height, i still think its a great fight for Kat.

But hey iv been wrong before, anyway at least he would take the fight.

 

hahaha cmon Marcus don't lose confidence just because you have made a few bum picks. Its not as fun then when I prove you wrong!!!! I know he is fairly old, but some fighters can handle it better then others. Particularly good technicians like Casamayor. Even an old Corrales is much better then anyone Katsidis has beaten. Not to mention that Corrales at 135 was a BIG puncher, and the fact that he couldn't KO Casa, says a lot about his chin.

Casa is slick hits relatively hard and Kat would have trouble laying a glove on him.

Just watched Kats latest fight and i must tell the truth that I wasnt overly impressed by the way he gets inside. He gets hit waaay too much and doesnt move his head. Someone like Rooney would be excellent for Kat.

Exactly. Totally different fighters. Pac bombards guys with speed and combination punching usually from range, where as Kat needs to get right inside and try to out muscle them. Pac basically lives off that straight left, where as Kat is much more effective with his hooks.

 

anyone noticed how Kat has a really funny right hook? looks like he twists his fist vertically rather than straight on? looks really awkward

Thats the correct technique for throwing a hook punch. Its much better for your wrists and hands, and you hit with all of your knuckle. The reason it looks akward is because a lot of fighters don't really use the right hook like Katsidis does. Kat uses it as a primary weapon. It can be very hard to throw in close also, but because Kat has very tight punches he can land it. A lot of guys tend to loop their right hook more to try to get it to come over the top of the other guys gloves, which is probably why Katsidis hook looks different as well.
