the Wilder fight comes off in August so it's not really too far off Toney's last fight. plenty of time for the two to get together. that's if they both want it that is, that remains to be seen.

it does make sense as you say. Willder wins he gets a good ranking as well as beating someone of worth.

Thompson wins, then he'll get a reputation as the guy you want to keep your top prospects away from. he may even get another shot at the title, who knows.
the money for the two should be pretty good as well considering they're both pretty well known on the scene. i'm sure it would have people's interest. i'd definitely be interested because we get to find out what Wilder is really made of.

i could see Wilder taking Thompson out within 3 rounds if i'm being honest. i don't think Wilder is going anywhere, but he'd be my pick if that fight comes off.

Why are people saying the Fury vs Haye winner? It would be not fair on Thompson. He's a nice guy but Haye would viciously destroy him.

if Fury beats Haye, then i'd say it makes sense. but if Haye beats Fury, he won't want to step down to that level. Thompson doesn't want anything to do with Haye anyway. he beat him down in sparring so he'll not want to experience that again. easy win for Haye.

You guys realise him and Haye are mates and he has been brought over as Haye's main sparring partner for most of his fights right?

He or Pulev is the third best heavyweight in the world right now. I'd match him with either the winner of Vitali/Stiverne or Pulev.

I don't know if they're mates, but Haye definitely brought him over for sparring before the Harrison fight.

Thompson and Jennings have been exchanging tweets.

Is a fight between them possible?

He says he wants to fight Fury although Thompson is probable scared of Fury, but i hope him and Fury fight whatever happens in the Fury - Haye match because Fury will win easily because Price nearly beat and should of beaten Thompson in both fights but didn't because he gassed well Fury won't gas Fury will win easily most likely by KO but he'd win on points anyway.

I'd like to see him test any of the rising younger prospects, but i do worry about his health in that capacity. his reaction to a couple heavier punches early in the 2nd price fight was worrisome. no point for another K2 fight at his age and after his last shot at Wlad (he did moderatley test wlad in their first fight but that was now 5 years ago). if i were close to him, i'd recommend a couple of descent paying lower risk fights and retirement
