Chagaev by far. Not only would it be a good fight for the division, it would also allow Wlad to reaffirm his KO power and take Chagaev out in grand fashion, to correct the play it safe Sultan fight which he is highly criticized for.

Then, Valuev for his sheer size, toughness, and iron chin.

Then Peter again. I would like to see Wlad set down on his punches this time, and show he can KO Peter.

Since Peter and Wlad are the most argued here at ESB . . . I'll chose Peter in that list otherwise it should have been Valuev.

Sam Peter, I think alot people now more than ever, question Wlad mental toughness/chin, I think Peter might be able to answer those questions if they fight again.

If Peter doesn't foul punch, the fight is a mis-match.

Wlad was horrified by Peters aggresion, which lead him into 2 panic attacks, where he put his head down and turned his back to his oppenent, allowing Peter the chance to hit him in the back of the head, no different than what Foreman did to Frazier or Hagler did to hearns, you turn your back in a fight, it's fair game. The ref probably should of warned Wlad for his scared tactics, and asked him if he wanted to continue the fight or not. It was a exciting, competitive fight, one that I would love to see again.:yep

Peter was holding & hanging on himself, he was also clearly aiming for the back of the head. Watch the fight before you comment on it. :good

I probably have watched it 15 times since september of 05, Wlad had a panic attack on the one knockdown, he tried holding on to Peter, Peter pushed him off and pounded him to the ground, the other knockdown came from Peter hook I believe, that had Wlad shaken up, he turned his back and fell, when he seen Peter loading up with another punch. Wlad was just as much to blame as Peter was, the ref seen both men playing rough and let them work it out, stop crying, your boy Wlad won in the end and thats all that matters, Peter hurt him and was unable to finish him, Wlad used what Manny showed him well, without all the clinches and Manny in his corner, me and you both know that fight would of been Corrie Sanders all over again.:good

Actually without Manny Wladimir was a more aggressive fighter & he probably would've KO'd Peter :deal

I could accept that, though if was hurt at anytime in the fight, I feel it wouldnt of ended well for Wlad IMO. Wlad in the early 2000's was offensive killer, he kept punching till your head banged off the canvas, maybe one of the best offensive Heavyweight fighters that ever laced up the gloves, when you watched Wlad at that time, you were guaranteed a knockout.:yep

I think Wlad should fight Valuev next, and knockout the man who supposedly "can't be KO'd"

Bad list. You left off the guy with the best chance of beating him: Alexander Povetkin

any unification but once it is united, that Champ will be Champ and we will have to go by one set of ratings for the #1 contender, not fight each contender from a bull**** Alphbet ORG.

If Peter beats Maskaev he then has to defend his title against Vitaly. In case Vitaly is out due to an injury Sam has to face the winner of Virchis vs Gomez.I for my part would favour both Gomez and Virchis against Sam Peter.

Besides Sam Peter is hardly known around the globe -unlike Valuev who is a big draw in Germany as well as in some other countries.
Valuev vs Wlad would be big-not only in height but in terms of money as well.
