It sounds very tricky but Duran does it very gracefully, he does not even seem to think about it, I haven't seen many others able to pull this off as well as Duran, nowadays anyway. Great move though.

Well, I am a runner and not a fighter.....While my chin has not really been tested, I also have no desire to find out....

Hopefully with my foot speed, and concious desire to not mix it up very frequently....I would adopt a Camacho (post Rosario of course!), type mindset.....and even then he probably got hit more than I have a desire to!

Like a cross between Tommy Loughran, Joey Maxim, and Hugo Corro. I have a feeling I'd be a boxer rather than a slugger or swarmer. I would have a somewhat conservative defensive boxing style..with a functional jab and counter punching. The strategic side of boxing for me would compensate for lacking the spectacular gifts of great speed and power...although I know I have a pretty good right hand.

I've tried the whole getting on my bike thing and I really don't like it tbh. I actually feel more afraid of getting clocked by something harder on the backfoot than going forward or closing the distance.

Yeah...the idea would be to bore the hell out of the fans with that Corro type style and when my opponent yawns, then pull an Ingo and let the right go...works every time...at least I'd hope so...
By the way J.G., lol, I know the guys and the style i picked out wont be anybody else's choices..:D

J.C., one thing I remember reading about Loughran is that he early on practiced his style..especially his left jab over and over in front of a mirror in his basement...that's just what I'd do if I was a fighter trying to ape his style...I'd practice the left jab constantly..the most important punch in the book for a style like his....and like the guy in my avatar, I'd try virtually anything to keep from getting hit...well almost anything...I don't think I'd hide behind the referee like I saw Jerry Lewis do in one of his films where he "boxed"...

    I'm 6'2 and 210 reach of 77-ish

I'd love to fight like louis. From the opening bell stalking an opponent down looking for a clean knockout.

Pep. I would like the ability to outhink and outrick em all.

But im a little tall for my weight so i would also like to add some Arguello or Hearns to this fantasy. Then they may not be so keen on chasing me down.... dang..... might need to add some Pryor in there for safe measure. lol

I am a fit 5'9 155lb but I am a very good weight cutter, so I would probably suck myself down to 135-140lb. I am not much of a one punch hitter, and not too strong. I am more cut, wiry and tough, with a good beard. My style(If I trained more) would be excellent left jab accompanied by sound technical skills, good stamina, and pretty footwork. Despite the 2" height difference..maybe Ken Buchanon?

My father is 6'1 solid 200lb and does have one punch power and freakish strength(I didn't get it)...Aren't children supposed to be bigger than there parents now a days? I sometimes wonder if I have a bit of a Napolean complex. My father always told me, "Son, your a late bloomer. You will grow later on." Well I have been waiting...and It's just not happening(Haha)

Buchanan is a great pick SQ...I could have easily included him in my post..along with Loughran, Maxim and Corro. I would also have loved to be gifted in that type of upper body defensive work like Locche, Young and Whittaker...but those are spectacular born-in natural gifts that I don't think I would have.
