who would you pick as Haye's trainer?

Him and Booth have formed a great partnership although creepy one at that. They trust and communicate with each other which i feel makes for success. If he was to go with anyone i'd go with Naazim.

Haye knows how to condition his body but is now learning to fight tactically and Naazim is the best chess player of them all at the moment and also suits Haye's swagger and style. Plus being the trainer of two of the top golden boy fighters it would make sense seeing as David's tied with them business wise.

 

I thought that Booth did an excellent job in the corner in the Valuev fight... He was so calm, so cool and collected and kept Haye focused and did not allow him to veer away from the fight strategy...:yep

Haye is more than capable of getting himself in great condition and I wonder if bringing someone else at this stage of the journey would be a good move for the group dynamics of Team Hayemaker...:think

So far so good, if it ain't broke why try to fix it...I think that Roach is an excellent trainer of fighters but above 200lb I think it requires a different tactic to what Roach instills into his fighters between 135 and 147...:yep...what are your thoughts on this lads...?

I don't think you can really choose a best trainer. There are plenty of good trainers in the country as well as a good few who know absolutely **** all.

Guys like Arnie, Billy Nelson, Joe Gallagher, the ingles, Adam Booth, Kevin Maree, Howard Rainey, Dave coldwell, McKraken, Woodhall etc etc all bring different attributes to their role. They make mistakes, no trainers infallible but the way I look at it, you have good trainers- then you have blaggers. Those who try their best but have limited knowlege.

The blaggers tend to get found out once their fighters start getting in 60-40 matches. I've featured in and heard some absolute horror stories and I wouldn't share them here but suffice to say as an aspiring trainer I've asked the likes of farnell, Howard Rainey, Kevin Maree and Billy Nelson for assistance on different things so they would all be what I consider very good trainers. You've got guys like oliver Harrison, Chris Aston.... Excellent coaches and have produced some real talented lads.

Its impossible to select a best trainer it really is. Your either good or your not. And even if your bad- if you've got the right backing and can convince the right people you'll still have success.

Boxing is a crazy world behind the scenes- some of the stuff that goes on, as boxing fans would make you sick. But for all the bullshitters and dishonest characters its still a brilliant game isn't it?

 

For the punters it is the best sport on earth, for some others it is nothing more than a brutal business...:yep
