I reply to SS later, as it's a good debate

Jesus Chavez was a nigh on undefeated fighter getting his WBC title shot and put his heart on the line. He'd go onto win a title, extend Morales in a competitive fight with a torn rotator cuff and win a lightweight title in his fatal stoppage win over Levander Johnson. I'm sure you know much more about the Thai 2 weight titlist he beat in Singmanasak than I do? JC wasn't an elite fighter but a decent titlist none the less

Mayweather was in his last fight at 130, a little drained not having much knowledge or inclination of weight cutting

Still not quite as close as you make out, personally I thought it was very close on first viewing, later giving Chavez about 3 rounds I believe. Chavez was throwing something like 100 punches a round but missing a great deal while ofcourse eating the much cleaner punches

How close did I make it out to be? I had Floyd winning most of the rounds. Fact is, Chavez constantly got Floyd in bad spots.

I thought Morales beat him handily. The Thai guy he beat ain't no good, totally inflated record. That was probably Chavez's best win. Before Floyd he'd faced a few shopworn former good fighters. He wasn't a bad fighter, but let's not make out he was all out that either. Titlist means nothing to me, he was a decent contender.

I had him beating Castillo a well (his next fight was it?) but again, if these guys are getting you in bad spots then what would JCC do? Totally different level of operators. The B-level pressure fighter gave him some hard rounds, the A-level guy gave him some actual trouble, the A+ would give him serious stress and possibly beat him.

I don't have worries with anyone saying it could go either way. My problem is with those like we've seen on this thread that say Floyd has all the advantages and would box JCC Sr's head off. It's ridiculous.

As far as the question goes, I don't really have anybody as an out and out favourite. I see his feet allowing him to manouver enough to beat JCC by a decision. I think Arguello's craft sees him compete, but Mayweather's superior athletic ability carries the day.

I think Chavez would give Floyd life and death...and possibly beat him. But my pick remains Mayweather by decision. Mayweather's speed and footwork and defensive positioning are the main factors. Mayweather isn't going to get into prolonged exchanges with Julio Cesar Chavez as he did with Jesus Chavez, JCC is a totally different animal...and Mayweather would have respected that. after watching Mayweather/Chavez Floyd knew where he was at and what he was doing at all times, and broke Chavez down. Yes Chavez took some rounds, but totally burned himself out in the process...Mayweather controlled that fight.

Floyd is willing to prove he isn't though. Pac wasn't.

Garrus obviously cares since he brought it up.

Floyd is willing to take a 6:1 ratio test that ISN'T the Olympic-style tests he goes on about and doesn't feature isotropic testing (or whatever the **** it's called)

USADA has done CIR testing for all the fights regardless of the ratios. If the tests were so **** Pac should have just taken them instead of pulling excuses out of their asses.

Whatever, he's a long time cycler, FACT, it's easy to spot. Biggest fraud in boxing. Pacman=Gentleman, legend and HONEST brave man. Floyd is a petty thief and a MURDERER :deal :tired
