Cliched myths that gets repeated allot on these forums.

If you think Arguello and Camacho beat him and JLC won fine BUT:

    1. His least defensive performances were actually post Castillo against Sosa, Ndou and Corley. He did throw less leather post Judah pretty much, maybe age and less stamina, maybe hand problems. His stamina at this age certainly isn't what it's cracked up to be

    2. He was as much defensively conscious at 130, probably with better connect percentages if anything with his better reactions

He (Everett)was VERY good. And if you watch Camacho's fights from jrlightweight, you come away impressed. For me moreso than Floyd. But ONLY at Jrlightweight. After Rosario, there is no question he tucked tail and fought not to be hurt. But in the early 80s at jrlight, he fought to hurt and was fairly great at the weight. And like I said, I didn't like him. But talent is talent and can't be denied. And a fired up 82-83 Chacon is a large heart to beat when he wants to win. He'd walk through hell in a gasoline suit. and like I said, back then Floyd was enjoyable to watch. He was a fighter w/ offensive power. Him and Camacho would be an incredible matchup. And Camacho's spinning and hitting from that period would get Floyd lookin' to the ref and play into Camacho's hands.

And Gatti. He also started to pick and choose his fights. 140 is the worst part of his career IMO.

"He'd eat chavez up"??lol that's a joke in itself considering Chavez sparring partner a great one at that castillo who many think beat him.So camacho who Chavez ate up & his sparring partner who gave floyd hell has a chance but not him.Ok some logic.

Chavez, duran,DLH,arguello all compete with him regardless if they beat him or not.I'd say duran, chavez would give him hell & be the most likely to upset him considering their relentless pressure & high boxing IQ.Floyd definitely is up there & can hold his ground against many of them at 130lb not going to lie.

Floyd at 130 would be too slick, quick and smart for Chavez. People put so much emphasis on Floyds struggles with JC Castillo, even though Floyd moved up in weight to fight for the LW title, yet, they give Chavez a pass in the Taylor fight, which he was losing big in until Taylor got stupid. It Chavez was fighting Mayweather instead of Taylor, he would have lost.

I don't see Floyd losing to pressure fighters. He's physically pretty strong, and he can hold his own on the inside. He would have to be outboxed to lose.

If Chavez was fighting Mayweather instead of Taylor he wouldn't have 1200 punches launched at his head.

Totally different fight from a Chavez-Mayweather fight.

Hmm, wouldnt really fancy anybody. Ofcourse Pac would be interesting - but that'd be interesting at any weight.

Floyd was a fantastic super feather witha decent record, shouldve fought Casamayor and Freitas, not fighting them was a mistake.
