it was really simple. ellerbe said that there was no 2nd negotiations while greenburg said that there was. how can you believe both of them are telling the truth? and i don't even see how does a man's curent employment had to do with this thread? :huh

here is the thing and wow do you love talking about this for some weird reason.

I think in Greenburgs head finding out from Pac camp that they would agree to 14 days or whatever counted as something being close to getting the job done and being negotiations.

On Ellerbes side there is no negotiations unless Manny agrees to OSDT up to the day of the fight. It begins and ends with that.

Its an assumption. These guys are not going to say that. If he says that then people like you are going to ask even more questions it never ends. So as far as they are concerned there were no negotiations. Let me ask you a question.

Why do you think Ross never talks about the terms that were made in said "negotiation"? Why does Bob Arum never talk about the terms? What would that hurt? (or were there not negotiation?)

greenburg (who is not affiliated with TR or GBP) and dela hoya (from GBP which promotes floyd's fights since 2006) both have clearly stated the word "negotiations".

it's not only arum who stated that there was a gag order. even schaefer acknowledges that there was a gag order whenever he says "no comment" when asked about the ongoing negotiations that time.

the thing is, if you have not followed the events back then, it was supposed to be between arum and ellerbe. ellerbe is banking on the fact that more people would not believe arum since he has a known history of lying. at first when greenburg was asked about it, he would just say "no comment." but after a while greenburg confirmed arum's story and said that there was indeed a negotiation and all ellerbe and schaefer could say to that was for greenburg to take the lie-detector test. if you want to follow that story see the link above.

so it's only an assumption? so you feel that you are more aware of the entire situation back then aside from all the people involved? that's why i asked you from some quotes from ellerbe saying what you have just said. it's all an invented scenario from you.

greenburg never talked about the terms but he suggested that it was very close. not saying the terms doesn't mean the negotiations did not happen. i suppose that they didn't care to divulge it since there was a gag order in the first place.

Some of the people involved said there was no negotiation you continue to ignore this fact. Koncz says they have never agreed to OSDT up to the day of the fight.

You say gag oreder why cant they talk now?

Even ODLH said the fight is close to being made, so close but recanted when Floyd took a vacation.

it was supposed to be arum's word over ellerbe's word. ellerbe is no even the one greenburg is talking directly, it was haymon. greenburg just happened to be the neutral guy here who backed arum's story. so you still backing ellerbe who is from floyd's camp?

why the need to? would it make the fight happen? it's enough that greenburg himself had said that there were negotiations and it was close to being made.

schaefer himself also honored the "gag order" that time. why the need for a gag-order when there are really "no negotiations"?
