Being 6'3 240lbs, I'd go against the smaller guy who I outweigh by 80lbs.

I would pick the smaller and nicer guy to be able to step alive from the ring. With my height (185 cm) and weight (95 kg) I'd at least be able to hug GGG all 3 rounds. Kovalev comes out as a real nasty sadist based on his instinctive reactions in the ring. Wouldn't want to be in the ring with a guy who got that kind of mentality and is almost same size with superior skills and speed compared to mine.

This is a toughie :huh On the one hand it would probably be easier to get hospital insurance if I said that I outweighed GGG by quite a bit ... on the other hand GGG looks like he might have better stamina than Kovalev which would suck because my strategy would be to run all night long. :p

You know, I'd take Kovalev. At least when they asked what happened in the car accident I could point to a picture of Sergey and folks would nod and say "too bad, at least you're alive". :!: If I point to a picture of GGG they would laugh at me and think I got taken out by a pretty-boy men's clothing model or something. :hi:

Seeing as i am 6'4 230lb i feel like i could just hold my guard up vs a Golovkin and only have to worry about a liver transplant after.

I think Kovalev would probably still manage to give me brain damage.

I think this thread should include Artur Beterbiev into the mix. I think Artur would be like a mixture of GGG and Kovalev. Taking his time but also making quick work as painfully as possible.

    :rofl:lol:

Not gonna lie it was quite macabre how Kovalev smiled and laughed after seeing Pascal wobble around like a zombie. That's what I love most about Kovalev, his maniac look/style of fighting.

Yeah, Kovalev is terrifying. Honestly, I'd rather be trapped in a cage with Vitali Klitschko than Kovalev. I feel like Kovalev is hiding something dark about himself...

Golovkin definitely. Kovalev is levels above him.

Mmmm neither but probably Kov. I'm shorter by quite a bit and could probably run around and survive for a bit, before going down to a ghost Ali punch... GGG is of similar height and would be too hard to avoid...

    :huh:huh

A guy in similar height and reach versus a guy who's taller and with a longer reach...yet the latter would have a harder time hitting you?:think:think:huh

Kov is slower, bigger and has to punch down, whereas GGG is faster, more compact and will be able to cut me off better. This is a hypothetical debate and these guys would finish me off pretty quickly and everyone on this forum.

Kovalev is as quick as Golovkin, considering he has over 15lbs on him, he's definitely as fast. Golovkin is quite a slow MW actually. Kovalev is arguably the greatest guy to cut off the ring in Boxing not named Roman Gonzalez. Kovalev is only 4cm taller than Golovkin, so he wouldn't be punching down at all, not unless you are a midget, seeing as you said you are the same height as Golovkin, you are the optimum height for Kovalev to hit as he can full power and leverage into his punches. The significant thing is Kovalev has a longer reach.

Golovkin because he's smaller so might not get hit as much
