It seems like Kessler pulled out of the Miranda fight to win a paper title against Mudine. Does this really do more for his career? He says he wanted a big fight in America to possibly setup a fight with Taylor or Pavlik. To me, he is making a big mistake going to Mudine rout. Plus the fight with Miranda would have been great, a huge buildup worldwide!
This fight does nothing but make him a paper champ. Beating Miranda would have given hi exposure in the US, and with that you are guaranteed to get big fights, look at Zab Judah.
but at end of the day,it brings more money to the table,if you are worldchamp or if you have beat the **** out of miranda!
I'd rather see Kessler - Mundine II right now because I believe this to be a tougher fight for Kessler. Plus, it's not like Miranda - Kessler could not happen later that year if they both are victorious in their next fights. Plus, people need to remember that boxing is all about money and that a Mundine fight for Kessler means more $$$ then a Miranda fight right now.
Miranda-Kessler. Anyway Kess-Mundine is no bad treat....especially with an improved Mundine and 100% fit Kess.
Mundine is a easy win with a soon to be declared title. His win could be used as leverage, so kind of makes sense.
i would like to have seen a miranda v kessler fight. nice clash of styles, would make for a good fight and would be entertaining and the conclusion not definate. but turn the arguement on its head and say ivan makemedropoff calls out miranda and says "miranda is street trash let him come to siberia and i will demolish him just like i have with all the other 30 columbians on my resume" he would be ignored, yet it seems the actual way to get fights in world boxing at the moment is to talk **** .
Miranda. Just because it would be fun to see Kessler destroy him and his loud mouth. Kessler already beat Mundine - in Australia - no point in doing that again. The fight was not close and the WBA belt he would win means nothing.
IMHO, there is no comparison possible between this situation and the situation Floyd is in right now.
