Cal-Hop is a few weeks away. By the time Kessler and Mundine meet again, tbhat title could very well be the full fledge WBA title. No matter how stupid this WBA superchamp rule is, the champ makes the quality of a belt and the winner of that fight will clearly be the #1 guy at the weight and the WBA belt will automatically regain value.

It's a tougher fight than Miranda is, even though he already won. Miranda's a forgone conclusion to get totally outclassed, maybe Mundine can make things interesting or simply get leveled this time and then Kessler can fight another top SMW.

Precisely. Even if it's Taylor next...those are two good fights.

Kessler will be #1 when Calzaghe leaves SMW, without beating Mundine again IMO.

A fight with Miranda would be shown on american television and would help him get to the fights he really wants, like: Pavlik, Taylor, RJJ & Dawson.

I think Kessler would beat Mudine but I don't like it when a boxer gets to chalenge for a tittle after a loss. So I thank he should face Miranda first.

I am not so sure, pantera. I know that you a big fan of Miranda, and once in a blue moon I quite agree with you inasmuch that I prefer watching Kessler fight your boy to watching him fight Mundine in a rematch.
However, worldwide Mundine is probably a bigger draw than Miranda.
Kessler probably also earns more bucks by fightinng Mundine than by facing Miranda.

I really dont think he would earn as much. If anything close to the same, but that would even surprise me. I think the Kessler side thinks a title means much more then most of us fans.

I am talking overall - besides that is crap - he has absolutely not beaten anyone with a pulse besides prospect Allen Green(which was at MW).

Mundine in Australia gains him 1 million + gauranteed, possibly 1.5 million, Miranda can't bring that.

    1) Kessler did the same favor for Mundine - even gave him homeadvantage.
    2) Kessler is still considered to be the 2nd best SMW, and with JC gone - he would be a beltless no. 1.

No one besides JC even comes close to the lvl of competion that Kessler has been through.

unless the first fight was a great fight most people would rather see a guy fight some eles. the first fight with Kessler and Mundine wasnt that great of a fight. Now I think that Mundine has a better shot at winning a fight with Kessler but I would rather see him fight Miranda because we have not seen it yet. For me its like The whole Oscar Floyd Cotto thing. i think that Oscar has a better chance of beatting Floyd then Cotto but I would like to see Floyd fight Cotto. its the same here.

If HBO is picking up the Mundine II fight then i will Say he should fight Mundine: Better boxer, higher ranked and beltholder, if HBO is not in the picture then they should have kept their deal with Miranda and Showtime, the problem in this case is not to turn Miranda down, but turning Showtime down is stupid...

Also what scenario brings Kessler in the ring with the big names first, a belt or Showtime/Miranda?

Will outclassing Miranda help or hurt the risk/reward issue?
