I know the punch you refer to, but that was on top of already being exhausted

Holyfield had Tyson hurt as early as the second round, at around 5:48 he stuns Mike pretty bad. Tyson's tell was he always froze when stunned, he didn't really wobble so much he just froze on the spot and had a vacant look about him.

Reg Gutteridge and Bobby Czyz are the only commentators that noticed this.

Its also down to lack of quality sparring.

When you havent sparred in ages, and then fight someone, the punches are bound to hurt more because your face has become unaccustomed to it.

Those shots would have stunned Tyson at any point in his career, no biggie no fighter is granite.

What really amazes me in that fight Holyfield looked the bigger hitter and Tyson's shots looked like they were hitting a brick wall.

liston would be the perfect match up mentally as he scares the crap out of anyone

left field option- toney at cruiser weight

    no chance of being ko'd
    counters tyson well
only shot mike has is out working him

i'd give toney the edge because of his chin and techincaly ability

Holyfield, because at no stage of his Heavyweight career could he lose to Tyson. Refused to be intimidated, and indeed became the intimidator. Vander would always enjoy beating Tyson up.
