Who would you think be more highly regarded 10 years from now? Mayweather or Pac

Mayweather has NOT had the better career thus far. Maybe that'll change in the future (it wouldn't surprise me in the least), but as of now it's Pacquiao. You're in the minority on this and seem to disregard their respective resumes, accomplishments, etc.

WTF will a win over Jones do for Hopkins' legacy? It'll be nice for Bernard personally to say I beat Roy Jones, but history won't remember that win as anything to write home about. At this point, a Pac win over Clottey is better than a win over RJJ at 175.

Good question. At this point, I think Pacquiao is unquestionably more highly regarded, but things might be different in 10 years. 2020 is a long time from now. If Pacquiao beats Clottey, and then Mayweather, there will be nothing PBF could do to usurp Pac's higher ATG ranking over him. If Pacquiao ends up going on a cold streak over the next few years, and Mayweather doesn't, then Floyd can pass him...the bottom line is, it is way too early to tell!

Right now it's Pacquiao. By that time it will be Mayweather.

So far Pac is winning but it's too early to decide now, got to wait till both officially retire and look through what they have done.

Too early to tell, but in this present time it would have to be pacquiao.
Both will be highly regarded as the very best of their generation, but until there careers are finished we wont know for sure who will be regarded higher 10 years from now

Depends, largely, on how Floyd does with Mosley, Pacquiao does with Clottey, and how they do when they meet one another head to head.

pac - because mayweather is a KTFO waiting to happen. he will continue to fight & take real risks once the money/fame starts to fade.

look @ roy jones jr.'s career. floyd is following the blueprint; however, in his prime he's not as highly regarded as roy

Pac is ahead right now, but a lot rides on what happens in the next 2 to 3 years.

Pac is an exciting fighter, exciting enough to scare the Hell out of Void. Void will never fight him period.
