would be a great action fight i think, back to proper heavyweight boxing ie big fast men looking for knockouts. if haye doesnt get him in the 1st 3/4 rounds, sanders would walk him down and stop him probably

the Sniper would have made this a tough fight in the first 3 rounds...he always did.

if Corrie were fighting in his prime today, Haye wouldn't fight him unless he had to. Even then he might pull a Riddick Bowe and duck the sniper.

They both have to power to knock each other out. I think Sanders knocks him out as he was a real fast starter and has the handspeed to deliver the punches. I think he takes Haye out early. The types of fighters that gave Sanders problems are ones that were able to handle his power for the first few rounds and take him out later in the fight. I don't think Haye would be able to handle his punches in the early rounds. IMO!

Good fight, could go either way. I pick Haye by TKO.

    Sanders early knockout...

He had even faster hands than Haye, plus as proved against Vitali he had a stronger beard...

    Sanders by KO.

It's hard to talk about Sanders' "prime" because it all had to do with how much he trained for a certain fight. Which usually was not much.

:good I can't fault your reasoning mate! It would have been a real good fight to watch, however long it lasted (3/4 rounds?).

Haye often falls into his power punches, something Sanders used very good vs. the two outstanding HWs of the post-Lewis era. He KO'd Wlad and badly stunned Vitali, so all Sanders would need is one well placed counter left and Haye offers plenty of opportunities. However, he always had terrible stamina and low workrate even by Haye standards, who improved his balance lately, so a "prime Sanders" (there was no such thing) vs. the current Haye is a 50-50 fight (Sanders KO or Haye UD/late stoppage).

This was probably the greatest shot VK took in his pro career:

If they land power shots equally, Sanders wins. Both have power, but Sanders just has the better power - chin ratio.

    Probably so -- great gif!

The only other shot(s) even close, that I recall, are the uppercuts by Lewis late in that fight. One was particularly clean.

Sanders, in his prime, would knock Haye out early. Haye rushes in and is wide. Corrie Sanders by brutal knockout.

Yeah, Vitali can take it. But I just can't believe how the hell didn't he go down here. Absolutely right on the button, and Sanders had that short distance power of Tyson and Gamboa. You can even feel that there's a "oh ****, here it comes" moment from Vitali right after he misses with his right and understands he fell into the trap.
