    3 weeks notice? :lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

He was offered the fight 2 weeks after Judah lost to Baldomir. Margo was going to be fighting on PPV AGAINST Mayweather on the date that Judah-Mayweather was set.

That's not 3 weeks notice and its MORE than enough time to prepare. Margo had his chance and bitched out.

Really? It's common knowledge, the excuses used are Margo was training for Gomez not Mayweather..

Even though Margo would of had roughly 4 months to prepare.

Awhile. Some choose not to believe, others don't care because they cry short notice and cry about the layoff Margo would of had.

But they all talk about how Margo steamrolls Floyd but he needs a warm up to do it? :nut

Exactly and if you know boxing you would know that Gomez is a totally different style that Tony prepaired for, you would need a good 2 or 3 months to prepair for a guy like Mayweather, you need to find the right sparring you need to work on specifics, but hey I dont expect some of you nuthuggers to understand the sport itself and how the game is, all you know about Boxing is Floyd Mayweather nothing more.

not sure tbh. cotto is easily the better boxer out of the 2, but margarito has better stamina then cotto and presents more pressure for 12 rounds. if i had to pick whod win right now, id have to go with mayweather over cotto.

Mayweather would box the ears off Cotto & slice him to ribbons in the last 2 or 3 rds - which is usually when Cotto starts to breath thru his ass - scoring a very clear UD.

Pleae take note - COTTO HAS NO CHANCE AGAINST MAYWEATHER.... ZERO.

Cotto can react quicker than Margo . . . so I'll say Cotto.

But during that three months who was he prepairing for? Gomez, not Mayweather, Again this only further displays you dont understand the insides of the sport.

When you train for a fight, the idea is not just conditioning its getting the right sparring, someone who can simulate that fighter, your not going to tell me he had guys like Mayweather in there when he was training for the Gomez fight you would be a liar.

You need to have atleast two months of Solid sparring in there to prepair you for that type of fight and also so you can learn how your going to execute your game plan in that fight.

Yes he was in the gym and training for Gomez for three months, but again he didnt have the proper sparring for him to face a running man like Floyd he had sparring partners that would get him ready for a totally different style of fighter.

if that is the best arguement you can come up with I advise you to just stop now, becuase the more you talk the more obvious how little you know

Cotto would've. He'll be in Mayweather's face more than Margo would.

    Are you stupid?

Margo was offered the fight after Judah lost to Baldomir

That would be around a week and half after the Judah fight.

    Zab fight Baldomir on 1/7/06

The fought was offered around 1/18/06

The set PPV date was 4/8/06

Thats roughly 3 months Margo would of had to prepare for Mayweather.

(Most fighters train 2-3 months for a fight)

Margo's fight date with Gomez was 2/18/06. So he was still a month away from even fighting Gomez.

He could of stopped camp, and taken some time off and then got back on track to fight Mayweather.

He had enough time to prepare for Mayweather and get the right sparring in.

Cotto, based on the fact that Floyd would utterly embarrass the plodding Margarito.
