I voted pryor mainly because he is naturally bigger (in bulk & strength, not height & reach) than alexis.

Dont forget he beat alexis head to head aswell.

I think srl tko`s arguello & beats pryor by wide ud.

Even without the slight size advantage, leonard is just too skilled, quick, powerfull & smart for pryor imo.

    :good

Pryor may win. He got in great shape and would stay in Ray's chest

Leonard beats both, but Pryor is definitely the tougher assignment.

Leonard used to get the better of Aaron in sparring, but Aaron atleast had a taste for Leonard, and would have a tested foundation for a plan. He was also unorthodox and strong.

Still, Leonard was bigger and stronger, faster, heavier hitting, more skilled, and just as tough. I think he knocks Pryor out in 10 after a decently competitive tilt.

Alexis, he just destroys. Too small, too slow, and frankly, too textbook. He'd be caught by Leonards combinations trying to counter punch and would probably be hurt and stopped on his feet early by a machine gun flurry.

Pryor. His bustling presure work would give Ray less time than he'd like to dictate the pace of the fight, even though Ray would eventually overcome Pryor. Arguello would stand off a bit more.

I voted Arguello, but could well be wrong. I just think Arguello, with his more precise work, would be able to frustrate Leonard better. With Pryor it would be a shoot-out, but Pryor just doesn't have the balance or technique of Duran. I think Leonard eventuelly would take him out.

    Pryor

I think Leonard would take Arguello apart with ease. Before you even factor in the size differential, Leonard boxing skills and speed are close to Alexis kryptonite. Then you factor in the fact with Arguello being miles above his best weight, almost impossible for me to see him hurting Leonard never mind stopping him and being in with the best fighter he ever fought, whose stronger, quicker, harder punching and one of the best finishers ever. I can't see him lasting long.

Pryor would at least pose some issues. His unorthodox skills, heart, goood speed and non stop action style will press Leonard and at least not let him get into a comfort zone boxing. I think that would ultimately work against him as Ray would be sharp shooting bombs off him constantly and would lead to a stoppage but it would make it interesting and competitive whilst it lasted.

Pryor but Leonard would stop both by the early middle rounds ...

Leonard Arguello would be like the Ranzany fight at best for Alexis.

Pryor would have given Ray some issues he would be on Ray all night as he was all about pressure, I think Ray still out slicks him and wins on points but it would be a great one!!

Arguello is too slow on his feet and coming up from too far down even tho Camacho came up the same weight and put the kibosh on Leonard once and for all

Even tho I have Arguello ranked much higher than Ray, I would hate to see the punishment meted out by a merciless leonard. His killer instinct bordering on the very sadistic (see Pete Ranzany)

it would take a fleet footed boxer with fast hands to turn Leonard into a bumbling fumbling fighter that ate too many bologne sandwiches, fighters such as say Terry Norris or Micheal Nunn

But Pryor does not fit that mold. I would love to have seen this fight but unfortunately, Leonard didnt want it to happen. I felt ray had a good chance with his lateral movement, and edge in size to outpoint and who knows, even tko late. This would have done wonders for his career-more than sick old Hagler, and Lalonde combined

Definitely Pryor, with his varying tempos and his unpredictability. He would have been a puzzle for Leonard to solve that would have preoccupied him til about round 11 or 12, IMO. Arguello would have been the opposite..very predictable to Ray..a bout with AA would have resembled Gomez-Zarate in a way..with Leonard stopping his man in 4 or 5.

    We're talking 147 ?

    Pryor definitely.

And I would make Leonard a HUGE favourite with either one.

Not much of a Leonard fan, BTW.

(Unless RR is in the thread.:yep)

I agree 100% with every word of Robbi's post in this thread from some years back.
