Most probably have Ali and Louis 1 and 2 on an all time HW list and a case probably can be made for spots let's say 3-12. But it seems to me that , that Sonny and Mike are probably close for most around 8-12 .. So who ya got higher?

Probably Tyson, though I'd favor Liston in a match up with Mike

I rank Tyson 10th on my heavyweights list, and I rank Liston 7th for what it's worth

Hey single digits is possible I don’t rate him 10, I rate on tiers and have him sharing the 7-10 line

    Resume:

I have tyson slightly ahead. Liston did what he was supppsed to do and cleared out his division patiently waiting for a title shot while being ducked by many of the top guys. But his division wasnt that great and he was an unmotivated alcoholic in his late 30's/early 40's by the time a truly great prime fighter arrived (Ali).

Tysons kind of the opposite. He had an amazing rise to the top and decimated many top guys but when he faced the elite peers of his era he beat a few but mostly came up short. Like Liston he lacked motivation, had prison stints, got caught up with drugs/alcohol, etc.

In h2h, even a prime tyson would have a hard time with liston at his best. Id favor tyson slightly. Liston's battering ram jab, long reach, stamina, underrated ring iq, killer instinct, and having vicious power behind every punch in the book means hed always give tyson problems. Tyson has defense, head movement, and hand speed. I would actually say theyre even in combination punching. Itd be a hell of a fight.

This. For a short time Tyson ruled the heavyweight division with an Iron fist.
