You know more than me on that, but what I do know is that it is banned. Taking banned drugs has ruined his legacy, it will always hang over him even though he is a great fighter.
maybe in your head it has but anyone who has taken clenbuterol before will tell you its no super serum...id be amazed if ggg has never had anything he shouldnt have in the past either coming from the eastern blok
If you see the posts on here along interviews with promotors, current and former fighters, podcasts etc it’s not just in my head. I reckon loads of fighters are on stuff but he got caught so he’s got to take the flak for it.
Just seen the fight. Canelo the bigger stronger man in there. Which is surprising considering he started off at 140 as a young man. Quickly went to 147. But going through the weights like that and still being the stronger man is always suspect to me. Golovkins always been a 160 lb fighter. Makes you wonder if canelo can fight like that on the level up at 160 why have we had canelo weight at all. All I know is canelo was red faced and blowing hard in the second round against Matthew hatton. Always had dodgy stamina. Fast forward a few years he's fighting at a great pace walking down a 160 lb beast. He's a naturally strong boy canelo but something usually gives going up weights like that. Floyd done it with tremendous boxing ability. Pacman done it with incredibly fast hands. I m always suspect when boys do it through strength/power. Every punch Canelo threw last night was powerful. The power doesn't vary. 12 rounds of fighting naturally power has to slow down. Golovkin had to bite down on his gumshield too stay competitive with him last night whereas the power came almost too easy for Canelo. Good fight tho. Had Canelo by a couple of rounds. Golovkin done well to come back into it in the end. Better overall fighter. Can't help but think they,ve came "prepared" to fight him in the last few tho with Jacobs and Canelo.
He started pro boxing as a kid (15), he’s literally grown up physically during his pro career so no surprise he’s moved up through a few weight classes. At 28, he’s arguably got a bit more filling out to do like we all do around the 30 mark. Think he might be too small height wise though to mix it with the 168’s. 53 fights at 28....how old school is that. I love watching him box.
I’d have to agree he’s now definitely top 3. He, Loma and Usyk, any order. Although you could also make a case for Garcia & Crawford...Paul Smith if he was still active, too. I love boxing.
Yeah mate Canelo loma usyk Crawford Garcia top5 then ggg. It was fantastic night some great kos and q great main event scored it ev3n after watching it again but think Canelo will now fight lemuiex rather than a 3rd fight
He's a class fighter canelo. Hits hard nowadays. Real throwback. I still say he's improved too much in a short space of time for it to be on the level tho...its all things that drugs can help with. His stamina/power/speeds went throw the roof in recent years. Same guy couldn't,t lay a glove on mayweather a few years back. He was always good tbf. He's looking like few will be able to stand toe to toe with him now tho. Golovkin was struggling in there....and golovkins an absolute beast himself. Had to wait for canelo to tire to go toe to toe. Golovkin was needing to work too hard to stay competitive with him...blowing from early. Golovkins ageing I still say he,d dominate most of them at 160...it was more about canelo being an absolute beast tho. For me abnormally strong/powerful for it not to be suspect. Banging that power out easily. He tired at the end. But was on easy street till then. I remember him visibly blowing heavy after two rounds with matthew hatton.
He fought Hatton 7 years ago mate....Maybe he has just got a bit fitter since then..... GGG is the most overrated boxer in a generation...He made a living demolishing sh1t scared mainly domestic level fighters like Macklin ,Murray,Rosado etc who were already beat before getting in ring due to this myth about ggg power...,the only 2 World/elite level fighters he has faced are Jacobs and Canelo and lost them all imo.. No way he has been a p4p great or hall of famer
Do you think seven years of training and professional nutrition could lead to an increase in stamina then? Triple G should move up and fight the winner of Groves vs Smith. His record is fairly **** on paper, he has benefited from being the internet fanboys' dream fighter.
Its nothing to do with 7 full years of dedication and training and living the life ,its all them pills he popped you know....They are magic beans I could actually see the BJS v GGG fight happening now ,stadium fight PPV....everyones a winner
