his content is crap when commentating is what I meant, he really needs to improve before he should do it again I like him though, as a guy.
More to do with his origin - the Northwest English accent is probably on measure one of the worst accents. It sounds horrible on men. Its down there with South Lincolnshire lol. yuk. Northwest sounds hot and feisty on women though - think Hollyoaks! Also it sounds great in the Northwest of England where everyone speaks similar/not a lot different to Amir Khan.
Nah, I can't stomach him, never could. He started to win me round after Maidana but this whining about Peterson is a ****ing embarrassment. Plus, that poor ******* he ran over in his car.
the thing about Peterson was gay as ****, I normally like it when fighters can't handle their losses, I like that, but he went too far and started being very very gay about it. Don't get me wrong, I don't love him, I just like him, he's had a lot of hate. Some of it may be warranted, but a lot of it is racist, that's not me making assumptions, that's me speaking to anyone to him in person about his boxing ability and it being met with racist nonsense. Winds me up, he says things like 'yeah I'm confident I will win this fight', which is what you're supposed to say, and you get both white and black people talking how cocky he is and how he wants to be Naseem and thinks he is him. So ******ed it's unreal. He's nothing liek him what so ever in terms of his persona, polar opposites.
the Naseem comparisons are very unfair, yes. Stupid, nay incredulous even today how people think colour of your skin determines your personality. Getting back on topic, I still think Toney was the better actor on screen.
Toney. I have no problem with RJJ, though. I find JT's style more aesthetically pleasing, by far. I love it. And I like him on a personal level more. So, both personally and professionally, I favour Toney. He's actually a top top favourite of mine, all-time. Not ranking, of course, but as a fan. :deal...But, a game he wants to win. He's trying to get his livelihood set. But, yeah, that's not his real personality at all. He's playing a character.
Two totally different characters, not a fan of either, but both are ok in my books. Unlike say Mayweather or Hopkins, I don't think Toney talks **** out of insecurity. He just likes to talk ****, which is fine by me. Had some decent fight skills when he was at his peak but nothing that really wow'ed me. Roy was a brilliant one of a kind fighter and a really perceptive commentator (tendency to spit his words out rapid-fire notwithstanding) but his RJ schtick and his music career were a tad lame. Kinda boring as a person overall but still had his moments like the '60-40 I kick yo ass' episode which was gold.
Jones got me into boxing as a wee bairn. I'd never seen anything like him, and still haven't now. Love Toney but it's Roy for me, by quite a stretch.
Hate Khan. Nearly as much as I hate toe average Joe on the street who say 'he's another Naseem ain't he?' I can't tell you how many times I've heard that and had to point out, no word of a lie, that it's essentially a racist remark. There are no similarities betweenthe two. But Amir is a massive nobhead and a ****** as well. Not a fan, never have been.
Roy, both as a fighter and as a personality. I do like James, though. People are often put off by braggarts and loud-mouths, but if they can get away with it more power to them. Many of my favourite fighters are of this ilk.
Toney is hilarious. He was one of the primary reasons for my getting into the sport. Roy's both funny and cool at times as well, but listening to him talk can be occasionally annoying (reeling off why he'd beat everyone in history just because he's "too quick" was funny the first 3 times he said it), and in general, I just feel Toney was in more exciting fights.
