It depends on whether Fury is shot or not. If he isn't shot, I say he dominates Usyk handily. If he is shot, he needs to clinch and wrestle more to break the Ukrainian's rhythm. On the ropes and at close quarters, Fury should avoid the action. Who knows but himself what's going on inside his alcoholic damaged brain. Will he perform or not? That's the question. Fury looked like a showboating clown last match.
You would think Usyk gave Fury some mayweather v Gatti masterclass first time round, to be so sure with this rematch I do lean to usyk but not by much. Usyk mat have won more rounds but there were rounds he looked lost, but many seem to dismiss these middle rounds and focus on the latter part of the fight I've read comments on here saying Fury has no chance after a competitive fight, but Joshua can beat dubois because he stunned him for one second before getting smashed. Now THAT IS delusional
Can´t see Fury improving from that performance, he did very well. Usyk on the other hand always steps up a notch. Wins by TKO late this time, in another nice bout.
AJ is a glass cannon at this point. He COULD beat Dubios, but unless he goes for broke early I wouldn't give him much chance as Dubios sets his rhythm.
Tyson just has to win 4-5 rounds and the fight is in the bag on the cards. A lot of people in here forgot about the scoring in the first fight. I'm not supporting that in any way, just pointing it out.
I picked Usyk on points last time and, this time, I say Usyk via late stoppage, maybe round 9 - 11. I don't like Fury personally. But I don't underestimate him. He had moments of real success last time and gave a very good account of himself. But I feel Usyk just has more gears to move through, more skills despite his size and always seems to find the next level when it's required. And I do suspect that, physically and psychologically, the first fight might have been Fury's last undefeated hurrah, and he is declining faster than the champion. Personally I would like to see Usyk win, though I do try not to let my feelings into the equation when picking a fight. I dislike Fury because of his gaslighting, the fact he talked himself up as the number 1 fighter without backing it up (historically as well) - and for shamelessly avoiding the undisputed fight for so long. But you can't count him out. On his day he is a very good heavyweight.
I interpreted Fury 's erratic behaviour leading into the fight as him being rattled by Usyk. I don't believe he ever wanted that fight (as evidenced by taking on Chisora and Ngannou first and saying he didn't need to fight Usyk in various interviews). His unusally extreme aggression in the press conferences and his odd one man presser in Morecambe were signs he wasn't confident IMO. I think he was as good as he could be going into it because he knew he had to be.
Fury at his worst lost to a guy making his boxing debut. Fury at his best would be competitive with Usyk, and might even win.
Usyk has every right to be favourite but Fury is a live dog in this. There's a lot still to be played out in the next 10 or 11 weeks.
5-3 is not the worst scorecard I personally had it 4-4 but in my personal opinion Usyk won 1st round, 7th round, 8th round, and I think Usyk had a good argument to winning round 2 aswell although it's debatable. I think Fury only clearly won rounds 4, 5, 6.
Usyk is too smart. Pay attention, in all the fights he made in the HWs he did not take the initiative but rather waited to understand what his opponent's plan was. He prefers to first be attacked to understand the opponent's intentions and his plan and then if he perceives that the opponent adopts a plan A he adopts an anti-plan A if the opponent adopts a plan B he adopts an anti-plan B. Practically there is no opponent's plan opponent that he has not already foreseen and for which he knows well how to neutralize him. That's why he has the highest IQ in the division snd he will win again.
What I mean about Fury at his worst: Years of alcohol and drug abuse, overweight and mental problems. 2024 Fury would have never outboxed Wlad and make it look easy. He is currently at his lowest point of his career. Fury might have looked better against Usyk than against Ngannou but he was still at his lowest point. And yet he was able to give Usyk a good fight. Why do I believe he wins the rematch? He only needs to be a little bit better than last time. Better shape, more focused and he wins that fight. Just a bit. He's a traveller, they are built differently.
