Who'd give Jon Jones the toughest fight out of these five guys?

He did have an injury and sonnen was on the old roids. Also we havent seen Jones' chin tested properly yet we dont know how hell deal with somebody as dangerous as Silva. That said i dont see how Silva Can win this other than catching him with something big out of the blue like the belfort ko

 

I meant how hell deal with getting hit by an elite striker. Hes trained by Greg Jackson everybody already knows exactly how this fight is going to go down

 

Matt nobody is denying that Silva wouldn't prove a challenge to Jones but given that Silva's primary weakness feeds well into Jones primary strength it simply isn't likely that Silva would pose the greatest threat to Jones

True im not arguing with anything your are saying. But seeing as Jones just dominated a guy who ran through Machida who i see as the only other legitimate threat in that list.i know A beat B who beat C doesnt mean A>C but they were both very very dominant performances I see Silva as the biggest threat because the others are basically not a threat. They all have the chance everyone does in any fight but i dont think the smart money is anywhere near any of them if they fight Jones.

edit: A fully fit or whatever people wanna call it Shogun Rua is a myth and not possible without a time machine IMO hence why i dont mention him

 

Machida with the edge here over Silva because Machida has significantly better TDD than Anderson. Jones would take Anderson down at will whereas Machida would be tougher to score a TD on (though Jones probably still gets it).

Both guys have a shot to knock Jones out on the feet so to me it really depends on who can keep it standing for longer...which is Machida, IMO.

Jones is a good wrestler but he doesn't used his wrestling the whole time. He likes to mixed it up and silva is just as dangerous on the ground as he is on his feet.

Yes, this makes more sense, the LHW champion did not train very hard. Do you really think Shogun could do considerably better than he did?

 

anderson silva because they both have amazing physiques which are freakishly long limbs and unorthodox striking. Its would be striking vs striking however i believe that jon jones would win as his wrestling is amazing aswell.

 

if he takes silva down then silva can sub him cuz even if every one here insists on silva having a **** TDD you cant underestimate his ground game

 

Jon Jones likes to posture up and strike from half guard. So what submission do you think Silva should go for in that position?

 

he could try a leg lock like shogun tried 200 times and failed every time or he could go and try for a triangle which would be very impressive if he got one in.
