True, but mind you a slightly green Jones with one arm gets obliterated by Hagler, even a slightly green one (say a 77-78 Hagler).

Are you actually insinuating that Floyd's jab was even in the same league as Pea's?

Tettsuo analyzes fights about as good as a ******ed ******, one who prefers swinging from Mayweather's nutsack rather than tree-tops.

 

Pea's jab was great, but it still did not keep an old Azumah Nelson, moving up in weight, from landing some nice shots against him. Mayweather is at least as fast as Whitaker and has a damn effective jab, especially when he mixes it up and goes to the body. Ask Lou Duva why he has his fighter Whitaker rated behind the likes SRL, La Motta, and Marciano.

 

This poll is probably exactly reversed from what it should be, I favor Hopkins and Mayweather in both these fights.

 

The same Hagler that went life and death with Antefeurmo? The same Hagler that got beat by a welterweight and went life and death with two others? The same beast that barely got John Mugabi? The guy who lost to boogaloo watts and willie the worm?

No 147 lb fighter gives Hopkins trouble. None. Hopkins at 32 would murder Mugabi and wouldn't lose to watts and monroe. Hagler is overrated by people who really really like guys with mean looking faces. Also, RJJ at middleweight is the greatest MW who ever lived. Hagler doesn't get past James Toney.

 

By physical strenght im sure he means punching power. And this is evident in the fact that Floyd has 25 stoppages in his career and Pea has 17. If you wanna use the excuse that most of Floyds KO's came at 130, I can point to the fact that Whitaker had only 4KO's in a decade of fighting. 2 of which were against Journeymen.

If you dont think Floyd wins a round you're bat **** crazy. Unless you think a McGirt with 50 ware and tear fights under his belt was a better fighter then Floyd Myweather.

As for the thread. I'd favor Hopkins over Hagler. Floyd vs Pea would be a toss up.
