If your definition of 'life and death' is to comfortably outpoint only to be blatantly robbed, then yes, the same one.

He got beat (in a fight I thought he won) when he was past his best, against one of the GREATEST welters of all time putting in an inspired performance. No shame in doing that. Way more shameful to lose to Jermain Taylor by doing nothing but circling and refusing to throw a punch for six rounds - TWICE.

LMFAO@Hagler going life and death with Duran and Hearns by the way. Hearns landed one good punch that stunned Hagler, then got brutalised. As for Duran, his own mother didn't have him even after 12 rounds, **** those stupid judges.

Heck a DLH coming off an ass-basting by Strum was giving Bernard hell for about 8 rounds. I can see a clearly superior fighter in Leonard doing a number on that Hopkins.

And frankly, threads like these are useless when very few know and have watched fighters mentioned. I can tell that most here have never even taken time to watch Hagler-Sibson fight.

But your question was really dumb if you've taken time to analyse Hagler's opponents. Go to YT and watch the fights and don't just make judgements because you like Hopkins or you've never heard of Tony Sibson.

I've stated often that I like Hopkins but it's his idiotic nuthuggers that **** me off.

As far as any version of Hopkins beating any version of Hagler...forget it.

I've favored many fighters over Whitaker above 140, but from 140 down, not happening. He was actually that good, unlike Floyd who couldn't even legitimately beat Jose Luis Castillo (you know, the same one who was Chavez's sparring partner, the same Chavez who Pea dominated).

How about a matchup between Floyd and Hearns?

Sorry, but Hearns was just too slow to land cleanly on Floyd, who'd use his superior reach to counter out of the shell defense repeatedly, landing the harder shots and eventually breaking Tommy down with his superior jab and right hand. Tommy just lacked the size and power to damage Floyd, who'd eventually walk him down and land every single shot he threw while avoiding everything in return, much as he has in every other fight he's ever been in. Just watch the replays, Floyd never gets hit clean, he simply shoulder-rolls the punches. He's never legitimately lost a single second of any round. I love Floyd's balls!

hagler - hopkins i see as a 50-50 fight, i lean a bit towards hagler.

pbf's strength is his ability to adjust as the fight goes on. but pea is so unorthodox, i don't see floyd being able to figure him out. pea wins a clear decision.

 

You're the one claiming Floyd would walk Pea down and make him feel his power, when none of the best pressure fighters could do so, and despite the fact that Pea proved himself against that style moreso than any other, especially when it came to hanging on the inside. Here's a tip... you don't need to be a pressure fighter to walk someone down. Also, most pressure fighters aren't that quick on their feet, FMJ is.

Again, walking someone down doesn't automatically translate into inside fighting oh drinker of Sweet Pea semen. And if it went to the inside FMJ would still have the upper hand as he's the more accurate puncher and the harder puncher. Obviously all those Sweet Pea cum shakes are rotting your brain.
