Get real. Ali won with cunning guile a huge heart and a huge chin, as well as landing good shots. Foreman landed serious leather on Ali. Had Larry been hit like Ali was by George, he would've been KO'd early.

Fair enough, but "crazed Foreman" also tried to blast out Ali and got nowhere. You don't need to have a stamina issue to gas in circumstances like that.

Regardless, Foreman has never cut off the ring on an opponent with world class movement, ever, and the first time he came up against an opponent with really good movememnt he got outboxed.

Holmes has the chin for this type of work and even at his very best Foreman's punches were strictly telegraphed. I think Holmes can work well enough inside should the worst happen, and I feel no guarantee that it would. Certainly the past-prime version didn't KO the limited Young. I see nothing in Foreman to indicate that he could KO the world class Holmes.

Young was actually more "slick" than Holmes. Larry knew his range and possessed great skill, but he wasn't what you call a "runner" like Philadelphian Jimmy. I do agree Holmes might just win easier than a lot would expect... and as you say, Foreman never did prove himself against a skilled boxer with a chin.

Holmes made you pay a higher toll than Young, too.

Holmes had all the tools to beat Foreman.
His iron chin and will would prevail, but he would be in for some shaky moments.

Prime Foreman vs. Larry Holmes (Mike Tyson version.) = Foreman wins by KO.
And I'm tired of explaining this **** to all the Tyson huggers.

And his workrate was higher. Plus, he had that gigantic chip on his shoulder. Holmes would punish Foreman in the later rounds like the frustrated ******* he is.

If George gets to Larry early, Larry could kiss it goodbye and lose by a knockout up to the fifth round. However, if it goes past that point, Larry beats George by a UD 15, maybe scoring a late knockdown.
