Why is PAcs starting weight of 106lbs bull****??? He did start at 106 lbs at 16 years old as a PRO!!! He could have been 12 years old, why the **** would that matter??.. Fact is he fought as a professional at 106..meaning he was really a small guy and has packed on weight as time goes. But it doesnt change the fact that he was 106 once upon a time.

Dont discredit Pac from moving up in weight all these years and win titles in several divisions by stating that he was 5 years old when he fought at 50lbs division..Its absurd..it is what it is..the guy is a ****in midget!

What you should be pointing out is that it is not normal for Pacquaio to be fighting at 147.

And as for Oscar at 16...for a guy who grew to almost 5'11 in height trust me he was alot heavier than 106lbs.

in this fight, i'm picking w/ my heart here rather than my mind. who knows? this is boxing after all and anything can happen inside the ring. these boards have been wrong many times before, mijares-darchinyan, cotto-margarito, pavlik-hopkins, donaire-darchinyan, etc. there have been many big upsets this year. maybe (i hope) this will also be one of them. the logical, common-sense and practical choice is definitely dlh but again i'm following my heart here so i'm siding w/ pac for this fight.

There will be a lot of excuses if Pac wins. Poor guy, never gets the credit he deserves.

When Oscar was 16 he was a featherweight in the amateurs. The point he was making is that its a little silly to say someone is a "former 106lber" or whatever, when they fought at that weight class as a child, basically. Yes, he DID fight there, but that is nowhere near his natural weight class, just like Oscar is nowhere near a natural featherweight. The reality is, if you're going to talk about those low divisions as accomplishments, you can't ignore his two knockout losses at 112 or whatever, you can't write them off as "weight drained" because that would imply he never belonged down in those divisions to begin with.

FACT: Manny is the naturally smaller man.

BUT if he is an ex-junior flyweight or whatever it is, then Oscar is an ex-featherweight. :good

There are always excuses whenever a fighter loses. I for one will give Manny all the credit in the world IF he wins, because Oscar is not 40 years old or been in many, many wars. Hs size advantage and boxing ability should be more than enough to win the fight inside of 9. I like Manny, a real warrior at heart but i see Oscar winning by K.O. / T.K.O. If Oscar loses, he should retire and never show his face again.

Where did I say accomplishments??.nor did I made excuses for his loses?

There is no dispute here...my point is he brought something out that has nothing to do with the price of cup of tea in China. He was trying to insinuate that PAC is "big enough" for Oscar because he wasnt really that small

If Oscar started as a pro at Feather..then great..he was small enough to start there...

Which proves my point ..that PAC no matter what point in time is significantly smaller than DLH..106 to 126 at 16 years of age, significantly smaller than Floyd who at 16 probably was at 122.

    Hes a small guy.

Manny definitely has a chance. Speed is the key. He will be coming in at essentially the same weight he came in during his last several fights---i'd say in the high 140's @ around 6% bodyfat. He will be fighting in the same lightweight speed against a natural junior middle who will be coming down to 147. Pac won't be thaaat much smaller, however, he will be thataaat much faster. At most I'd say Hoya will have a 10-15lb weight advantage. See where I'm getting at? The speed and quickness advatage will be all on Pac's side. If u think Hoya will have the same effectiveness landing against Pac as he did against the Mayorgas of the world than think again.Pac who's been accustomed to guys with superfeatherweight handspeed of the lkes of Marquez and Morales will be dealing with a middleweight who has above average speed at that weight at best. I mean MAB with his vaunted left hook couldn't land **** and they were fighting at 130 during the rematch. You think Hoya could land his with any regularity? That jab? Pac have dealt with much faster jabs in fights prior and not to mention his sparring with Amir Khan who has piston speed jabs.

And for those who say Pac will fight the same way, u guys are seriously underestimating Pac's ringsmarts. I'd venture to say Roach's fight plan entails alot of movement and boxing early.....and controlled aggression late. Do u guys really think Pac will go toe-to-toe with a guy so much bigger than him? No its gonna be very cautious at the beginning, just alot of movement and trying to win rounds by boxing at the first few rounds. He would probably let Oscar chase and let him swing at air and selectively potshot then once Hoya starts gassing out, Pac won't necessarily have to press harder on the gas...it would only seem like it coz Pac can fight for 15 rounds while Hoya can only fight for 7. But expect Pac to be more aggressive the less effective and even slower Hoya gets in the later rounds.

Not saying Pac has a great chance to win...but he definitely has a chance. He's a live dog in this one, and if his gameplan works out early in the fight, then I expect Pac to have a great chance to pulll this one out late.

I think the smart money -- factoring height, reach, punching power, and solid fundamentals...to make Oscar a top-heavy favorite -- are missing the elephant in the room that'll spell victory for Pac: When you’re sittin’ on almost a BILLION net dollars, DLH won’t have the fire in his belly to do or die.

Right now Oscar’s fulla **** ‘n’ vinegar in training, eatin'-up 24/7, lovin’ his tight abs in the mirror, and soakin’ up the best Ivan Drago regime that money can buy. But when the HUNGER'S gone, this is no more than a white-collar conceit -- an inflated smoker.

In the eleventh round, when it’s no longer about talent and logic but blood sugar and desire, Pac will spark Oscar and finish him.
