Is an idiot. It wasn't a great fight but it was a good one and it was close. It could have gone either way. Morales landed cleaner shots but Diaz outworked him. Close decision either way or draw.
Outworked him what by throwing his body forward? Eric was landing the cleaner stuff Eric won that fight easy 115-112, how the **** did the judges give Diaz the fight 115-112 is un ****ing beleivable.
Like I said; a close decision either way or a draw. 115-112 is not close. And there were good hard body punches landed by Diaz when he came in close.
Which is the main criteria for scoring a fight. Very easy fight to score, very clear win for Morales. Though it must be remebered that Eric didnt exactly win a shut out, he didnt win by a wide margin. Just the rounds that were his were pretty clear and he won more of them.
for me it was hard to score but if diaz hadnt got those couple rounds he would of lost for sure,Btw it he wasnt robbed.
I can see why they think he won, and the term "robbed" is thrown around too much so I wouldn't take that too seriously when people say it. People think that a close fight being scored one way or another is a "robbery" these days. I was rooting for Morales tonight because I have never seen Diaz fight, but I had no problem with David getting the W tonight.
imo, it was not a robbery. morales faded in the last couple of rounds and these rounds gave the win for diaz.
I thought Morales won, but I could see why the judges scored some rounds to Diaz. When Morales was getting pinned on the ropes, he looked like he was getting mugged by Diaz. But it looked worse than it actually was.
Morales was robbed. Look at Diaz' face, it was swollen like hell. And what about the kd? Morales should have retired a Champ, but the lousy judges took it away from him.
i'm rooting for morales too. but he simply was out of gas going into rounds 11 and 12. diaz outworks morales badly during this stretch. if not for these rounds, he could have won. well a good fight for morales, nonetheless.
Sitting at ringside, I scored it for Morales, but not by much. It was a close fight, and I'm sure it helped that Diaz was defending his WBC title in his hometown.
to me...that last round, where morales gassed out, was the telling point... i had it even going into it
