Whole arena is booing when Ward's name is mentioned

They dont like Americans - you know most of them people there had california annexed from Mexico

 

It's even more funny being that they are in California

Ward is an Oakland guy. You're not going to see a SoCal crowd showing him any love. Anyway, Ward vs. Golovkin is definitely a fight that should be made either this year or next.

 

I want GGG vs Quillin first

 

Why? Quilin has no title and he couldn't even beat Andy Lee. That's a pointless fight at this time.

I can only think that the crowd thought max kellerman was about to say Floyd Mayweather so they started booing

 

I think the boos came more from collective frustration with Ward's stalled career than anything else.

I like watching Andre Ward fight, but he's been so inactive recently that he's become somewhat irrelevant. I was surprised his name even came up in the interview, tbh.

 

Actually, I think it was because we all expected the name Mayweather instead, the way Max introduced it I thought he was talking about Floyd. Once the crowd started booing they just went with it for the sake of big drama show

 

mayweather, cotto, canelo, ward, all should happen before quillin. hell, andy lee has more pull right now than quillin.

 

Ward is from the Bay, he's not gonna get any love in Southern California. But wow, that double header was exciting as ****.
