OK, as you requested it I will write a proper response in under an hour when I break for lunch. However, I will say now that this is a digression, whether he could've or couldn't have got the big fights, the cold hard fact is that he didn't, and I do not accept that a career of beating up Evans Ashiras and Tocker Pudwills at the Cardiff Ice Rink punctuated by a couple of really good wins near the end of his career mean he has "earned the easy option". He took the easy option for 9 years 1997-2006 and his resume is crying out for a fight against a top 10 pound-for-pound fighter that isn't over 40.

Alright, I'm not totally biased on this one I have to add...and I do feel it's worthwhile considering you stated that his resume was laughable (which I don't agree with at all)...I just would like you to put forward suggestions on who he could have fought because I've looked into this pretty in depth and came to the conclusion that he really ought to be held strongly account for not fighting DM above all else...especially due to the fact that the WBO Champ from a division down was once able to orce a shot with the Champ a division up if I'm not mistaken....

I myself am busy today but rest assured, I will respond when I can even if it is tomorrow.

This is exactly the sort of rubbish logic and poor knowledge I'd expect from you, except worse as now it seems you have actually forgotten how the human body works. Primary school biology lesson required? No bother.

The last 3 times Jones fought world class, top 10 ranked fighters, he lost 3 times and was blown out twice. I find it typically marvellous from you that you think fighting non top 10 ranked nobodies and failing to stop that version of Tito Trinidad (fighting at a ludicrous 170lbs and without a fight in 3 years or a win in 4!) suddenly makes him a better fighter.

OK, when Jones lost to Tarver & Johnson, he was 34-35. Now he is 39. When a man gets to 35, every single one of his physical attributes starts to diminish rapidly. Now, some people can slow this process down to a point (Hopkins), some can't (Jones), but it is just a facet of the human condition that this is inevitable.

And none of this has anything to do with James J Braddock.

    Let the hiatus recommence :hi:
