This fight is for the WBO title which Calzaghe vacated yesterday...no interim bull****...the REAL title...or at least the real WBO title
If Inkin gets it, it will be meaningless, because he won't fight anyone. If Zuniga wins it, he'll put it up for competition and we might actually see some good fighters competing for it. Might raise it's profile at 168 as a real governing body. I doubt the WBO want that to happen, though. They're much happier continuing to do business with Kohl. Even if the fight were not in Germany (we know how decisions go in Germany), because the judges will be WBO judges, they'll want to give it to Inkin if it's close. Zuniga needs at least 3 KDs to win it. I'd go for the KO if I were him. I'm sure he'd do that anyway, though.
Without a doubt. Zuniga knows this is the moment of truth and physically he is the sharpest I've ever seen, he weighed in at 166.1...guy looks like a ****in monster:fire
I meant to vote for Zuniga and hit the wrong button. I don't have a huge rooting interest either way, but would like to Zuniga get the victory and title.
Zuniga. I would be worried about Inkin keeping the belt hostage and beating up on a bunch of guys who are underserving. There are a lot of good fighters at 168 and I think Zuniga would be far more likely to mix it up with them than Inkin. Maybe we could get an all Colombian war between Zuniga and Miranda.
Then why did he not get a shot against any of the name prospects/contenders recently? It wasn't just due to opponent injuries/bad luck, although, granted, that accounted for most of Zuniga's misfortune. Even Bika, of all people, decided for Manfredo instead of Zuniga, if I recall right.
I agree! They might not want to fight each other though, unless they're payed well...but with them all being Colombian and without any belts, and with Miranda not being the draw he once was in the USA, there might not be that much money in these fights, alas.
